  1. They probably already had that wrote at 6pm. Most read story on BBC too. Bet fuck all happened really.
  2. I thought the away fans were in level 7. But level 7 is closed for home fans. Or something to that effect.

    London Mags

so you had to go to london as you couldn't find a job but i bet you don't intend to stay there if you make a few quick bob. I.T. work in the north east is shocking at the moment, especially for graduates, tbf it's only 3 hours back on the train, i'll be coming back up for most home games (at least I'll be able afford to go now). I will try to eventually come back-up as I find the place a dump Same position as me mate. Applying for probably 2 jobs a day without any response for the vast majority of time. I am also considering a move to the big smoke.
  4. Given half our first teams wages I doubt that, but we shall not get into the old arguement of 'how do you know how much they earn bollocks'
  5. Tenner says they do? they wont finish above Arsenal. Never said they would. But I don't think City will break the top 4 this season.
  6. Stupid thing to do, even if you are in a box.
  7. Absolutely shocked that Jonas is leading with Nolan as second. Absolute joke. Smith should be top and Jose second. Jonas as I said wouldnt move with the ball and although he got 2 assists should be nowhere near MoM. Are you really shocked? I imagine 80% of people voting have seen two clips of the game, both the goals. Suppose. But surely of those 80%, 50% must have heard it on the radio and been able to make a decent judgement from that.
  8. On .cocks poll: Absolutely shocked that Jonas is leading with Nolan as second. Absolute joke. Smith should be top and Jose second. Jonas as I said wouldnt move with the ball and although he got 2 assists should be nowhere near MoM.
  9.   You say that so confidently.
  10. Its more of a discussion of the midfield in general I feel. Smith should always start unless he starts those lack luster performances again. There is still room for Barton with Smith playing, it is not as if they are the same type of player. Drop Guthrie I say for now, or Nolan.
  11. You watch Serie A, right? Have i said something on those lines which include "typical english hooligans, but not italian hooligans?" go to bed kiddie Can you give another example of English hooligans in the past 5 years. Not really typical when it doesn't happen anymore. Nah, I'll not go to bed yet, I might stop up and watch Green Street or Football Factory and make some vague generalisations. I think it was less than 5 years ago that a Stoke stweward lost his eye, once again vs Bham. Millwall vs Hull last year. Cardiff vs Leeds 2002(?) Villa steward died a few years back too vs QPR I think. Sure there is loads more, they are off the top of my head. Don't be stupid enough to think English football no longer has a hooligan element.
  12. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Potters&action=display&thread=90941&page=2 Looks pretty legit though no mention of death. Hope the person involved gets well soon. Disagree with 'brummie' entirely. Majority of Blues fans are canny, infact I have had some pleasant experiences in surrounding pubs mixing with the locals. It is just a small minority, that minority mae the headlines unfortunately.
  13. Links? This would be plastered all over the net if true surely? If it is true, its a disgrace. No Bham fans will be allowed anywhere near the Stoke match.
  14. Ok so here it goes... Harper - 8 - He actually came out to catch a few balls, which is amazing for Harper really. Not too many saves to make though got down well for Ambrose's shot. Simpson - 7 - Defensively looked alright, but didn't have anyone to link up with on the right as Taylor kept dropping in, so wasn't brilliant going forward. A point in the second half he kicked the ball ahead of a defender and tried to catch it himself, told the whole story of his game that moment. Colocini - 8 - Solid game, won most of the balls that were thrown in long. Booted it clear a few times which is suprising for him. STaylor - 8 - Partnered Colo very well and tidy sensible defending. Jose - 9 - Brilliant game, link up play with Jonas was great on Jose's part. Defensively wasn't tested too much and when he was managed to play it out. RTaylor - 7 - Great goal. Didn't do a whole lot else, decent performance though dropping into the middle meant all the play was down the left. Guthrie - 7 - Lacked match fitness. Didn't do alot wrong. Would prefer Barton and Smith patnership in the centre. Smith - 9 - My man of the match. Brilliant display, won everything and played the ball forwards whenever he gained possession of it. Brilliant to see one of our midfielders looking to ease pressure off the defense. Jonas - 7 - Nice assist. Linked up well with Jose however Jonas looked very reluctant at times to push forwards and run with the ball. Shola - 7 - Won the ball well when required, though a few instances of the old Shola were certainly creeping back into his game. One too many 'slips' aka bambi legs and one shot imparticular in the second half he should have done better with. Nolan - 7 - Good finish for the goal, but amazingly still looks like he lacks match fitness. Perhaps it is because he was playing in a weird position that requires pace. Would have preferred to see Guthrie pushed into this position and Nolan in CM. Ranger (6 - Not great, one nice run. Rest of the time struggled) Butt (5 - Awful passing, not entirely sure where he was meant to be playing either!) Geremi (Not enough time to judge) Overall I came away very happy. Our support was loud when we got going however there was periods of silence. Palace's Holmedayle fans banged their drum for ages at one point, sounded shit but least it made a little atmosphere when we weren't singing. Alot of Mags from other areas of the country I noticed. Particulary a few scots and many cockneys. Usually when this happens our support becomes scarily bad, however this didn't happen today which I am quite happy about. Nolan in the attacking off the striker role doesn't work. Shola needs a proper striker alongside him to link up with. Guthrie and Smith is not our best midfield pairing. Smith HAS to play based on all of his performances so far, class act in this league. Would like to see Barton and Smith in the centre. If Hughton insists playing one off the striker try Guthrie in that position, he is attacking minded and has a good run, Barton and Smith can play balls through for him and Barton will be able to get up to support him and be experienced enough to know he was to get back. Defensively we looked solid, though they could have punished us a few times with unmarked headers. Difficult to judge who was at fault for many however due to the area being packed and my eyes being shit. Dry train back up however, and the 1 hour trip accross London meant no pints in a pub before or after. Nevermind!
  15. To the point of attacking coppers ? Thats just plain moronic and thuggish. Obviously. But it happens, every club has fans like that, ours probably more so.
  16. No trouble between the fans MW. Their lot were actually quite canny. Apparently the lad who swung the bunch was firstly complaining about a lad in a Newcastle top sat near him being a dick the steward replies if you don't like it then leave. I think I would take exception to that too
  17. Last time we were for sale NUSC were planning a take over of the club via a fans consortium, or at least part of NUSC were. Thats what I thought anyways.
  18. Why is he announcing it Monday? 1. If it is sold, the new owner may have requested to make over from the beginning of a working week (i.e. Monday) where he will have time to organise further conferences throughout the weekwith Huddersfield the only obstacle. A manager could be appointed prior to Huddersfield game (i.e. on the Wednesday) boosting ticket sales. 2. If he is staying, he will need to appoint a manager. A manager cannot be appointed the day before a trip to London, that is just rediculous. Also he will want to bring in some faces, relieve the pressure from the anger of the fans that he is staying, therefore since it cannot be done over the weekend, it is easier to do it from Monday. Makes sense either way to me. Why he couldn't have announced it Monday morning I do not know. However it has got us talking, speculating, possibly easing pressure off him for tomorrows match, maybe that is what they aimed to do. Personally I think he is going to announce something along the lines of co-ownership with him taking a back seat and having no input on the club. Barry Moat will take over the day to day chairman things. Llambias will get a big pay off. Hughton will be kept in as a coaching role with Shearer appointed. This is purely opinion though.
  19. I would play: Harper Simpson STaylor Colocini Enrique RTaylor Guthrie Smith Jonas Shola Ranger On a different note: Anyone any idea of pubs near by that allows away fans?. 'The Albion' is home fans only which is on loads of their boards.
  20. Shame he is going to fuck off the second he gets an offer made to him though?
  21. I am 85-88, 87 was closed for whatever reason which annoyed me. So my 3 had massive queues. Just made it in for the players coming out.
  22. a friend of mine tried using his magpie mover on the bus from Ouston to town on Sat n th driver let him on no problem. Think it all comes down to the person checking your ticket. e often go into town 4 hours before the match and only once have we been told we couldnt use the magpie mover Hmmm, may get one then. I tend to go in about 4 hours before and leave 4 hours after so never thought there would be much point getting one.
  23. Offering a replay is stupid and has only been suggested as a possible idea due to Warnock whinging. Bristol could easily just scrape the playoffs by the points picked up in this match, imagine throwing that away?
  24. What goes around comes around. Sheff Utd will get a goal this season that they shouldnt, whether it is because a player dives and they convert a penalty or the ball doesnt cross the line, rest assured it will happen. And it will probably end up happening vs us.
