Stifler in full on Stifler mode today like
-
I remember our heroes being Andy Cole, Shearer, Les Ferdinand, etc. Ketsbaia and Mitro as heroes? Shows how far NUFC have fallen. Cult heroes perhaps. Growing up you idolise players. I certainly did with Cole, Shearer and Ferdinand. It's different when you're older. True but my point was those players scored loads of goals. Ketsbaia and Mitro score occasional goals and have anger management problems. Aye, again though it's cult hero status to me. They're loveable despite being radge as fuck. Mitro clearly loved scoring yesterday, kissing the badge etc. It's good to see that kind of desire and passion but he needs to sort his head out.

Who does the 'lad at work' see as being responsible if it's not the guy who hires the guys who make the fuck ups!?

Anyone else see Cisse sitting on the bench having a little dance to it? I'm pretty sure he was dancing to the chant because he didn't have earphones in. To R-Kelly? Are you sure!?

I think you're forgetting, Stifler, that terrorists tend not to give much notice. "Pssst. I'm about to blow this vest up, get yourself to the under-pitch bunker quickly"
-
I just imagine it's like on Monsters Inc. and the coppers run around saying "WE'VE GOT A TWENTY THREE NINETEEN!!" And then the bomb squad come and put that bowl over it, bolt it down, blow it up and then sweep up the mess.
-
Fair point, but he knew what he was letting himself in for. He'll tear shit up next season though.
-
I can certainly see where he's coming from. Scraping your studs down an opposing players shin is so much simpler than just saying "I want to stay".
-
The greatest thing he lacks is temperament. He's still a kid and if we keep hold of him, a season in the Championship could be just what he needs.
-
A short time before his body, his body told him yes.

That header from Mitro was superb.

Stifler told me. I got it, Mick

Because at this moment with all the Rafa flirting, there's a lot to be positive and excited about. Besides, watching your team win 5-1 when they're expected to lose isn't something that happens every day.

That was a dive straight from the Champions League.

Rafa in for me. If he stays it clearly indicates a change in direction from Ashley, however late, however reluctant. I'll never forgive Ashley for what he's done, never. But over the last few matches with Rafa in charge, I've fallen in love not only with NUFC again but football too. Supported for 25 years and so much of the last 10 have been about anger, disappointment and frustration. If Rafa is our manager it makes me hugely proud to be NUFC again. When it's such a huge part of your life, similar to HBA leaving, it's so hard to see people like that leave. It would feel infinitely worse if Rafa left. Ashley going would be incredible, but who's to say we wouldn't get another Ashley? An Allam? An Oyston? After 10 years of a lot of ill feeling towards the club I love, I forgot what it felt like to not go to a game not giving a shit about the outcome. Now that feeling came back, it's Rafa staying for me.
-
Exactly this for me. You can't hound out an owner unless you have a willing buyer. Make no mistake, if someone offered Ashley his asking price he'd sell in a heartbeat.
-
12 months?! Yeah of course 12 months. Everything before that was exemplary.

Forget the fact he's scored these goals in League 1 for a minute - the quality of his finishing is fantastic. In general terms, if you can finish with confidence and composure like he has been this season, you'll score goals at many other levels, too. The one that stands out for me was Peterborough at home, 87th minute (?) at 2-2 and he does that. Incredible composure and outrageous skill. I've got really high hopes for this lad.
