At this point, I couldn't give a shit about a players ceiling. Isak had a high ceiling, Eddie and the gang helped him towards it and look how that's turned out. Give me two Premier League proven strikers who have much lower ceilings who WANT to wear the shirt over an entitled cunt like Isak. Get the right appointments made and the right recruitment setup from younger ages and then some of the players with high ceilings we want are already here...

If this gets done at ~£60m then yes, we've 'overpaid' and will likely be mocked by fans of other clubs as a result of the previous failures and our seeming desperation at this point. That said, I genuinely think he'll be a brilliant fit for the way we play and will score plenty in this team. It's not my money so I don't give a fuck how much he or anyone else costs. Hell, if we can pay Matt Targett half a million quid a week this fella looks like smart business at £60m.
