I wonder if the lease will be extended on the provision that the council at their own expense have to build a cycle lane through the middle of the pitch.

Granted my bins havent been emptied in three months. It would cause years of disruption being built, only for it never to be used, but at least it would in line with every other cycle lane in the city centre.

    Wait...what?

How good was Steve McManaman as a player?

He was at Real Madrid during the Galacticos era but you rarely see his name mentioned in best England players. Too young to have seen him play

I never thought he was anything special. Worked hard and had good technique. Remember Real signed Thomas Gravesen around then too, they made some odd signings to play alongside the elite.

  3. Joining a team closer to the bottom of the Bundesliga than the team winning it after securing what he thought would be his last move for a good few years where he'd win trophy after trophy playing a bit part whilst earning an absolute fortune.

    Go fuck yourself, Hugo.

I wonder if now that they have 2 limits, that will be where you start moving into points deduction territory, break one of the 70% of turn over or hard cap and it’s just a fine, break both and it’s a heavy points deduction

Surely one is related to Euro comps only, the PL won't act on that breach, will they? You'll just be denied entry to any Euro competition.

Aye, think he said something too. Don't blame him one bit.

Remember Scott parker doing something similar? Think he told some miserable bloke in the east stand to fuck off if I remember correctly [emoji38] was topic of the week on the 3 legends phone in

    Good on him.

The ability to finish belongs to a player, not a club. I could have said the same about Isak before he’d scored a goal for us. Eddie says the same about Elliott so I’m in good company :-)

Isak scored loads of goals at the top level before he joined us, there was clear evidence to suggest he was a good finisher. Anderson's scored a handful of goals in League 2 against goalkeepers and defenders slightly above Gateshead's level. Just not sure how you're seeing that he's a good finisher. It's a bit like bigging up Nick Pope's crossing ability.

He's got a lot of good qualities but I still think he holds on to the ball too long all the time. Completely ignored a few good overlapping runs by Hall yesterday because he was too busy with his relentless shimmying. If I was a coach picking one thing for him to focus on it would just be 'pass the ball quickly.'

I reckon he'd benefit greatly from a year on loan in the Championship. Consistent game time at a settled position would help him develop, and he's never had that here. He'll be 22 in November, and unless he can really nail the end of the season and force himself into a first team player, I can't see him becoming the player he could be just being a squad player filling in irregularly in a bunch of different positions.

Of course that would leave our squad shorter if he went out on loan though.

I think he's already too good for the Championship and he'll benefit most from game time at the highest level with us. I think he's going to be a great player, just needs to figure a few things out and keep improving.

This is one of those posts quotes in 2 years’ time to acknowledge you called it wrong. “Yeah but in fairness, there wasn’t much to show at that point.”

Anderson can clearly finish and he will do for us if given the chance. 5 goals next year, 8-10 the year after

How can you say this when he hasn't scored a single goal for us

Klopp won’t come here, and after his antics about us, we wouldn’t touch him.

I also don’t think the FA would go for Howe. There will be some absolute fucking shit manager somewhere who will toe the FA line of picking the same old players.

England will go with modern tradition and appoint a home grown baldy like Lee Carsley.

Thought his performance at Palace told us more personally, might be great at home when we’re on top of teams, but he certainly won’t be a game changer away from home when we’re under the cosh against better teams.

Decent squad player but at 40 million he was a luxury and money could have been better spent.

You've picked one game out of many to focus on. He's good far more often than he's not. And when he's good he's one of the best we've had in the last 20 years.

  11. Shearer's consistency was off the charts, never thought it would be matched until Kane and Haaland came along.

Would be interesting to see how many either Kane or Haaland would have got playing against some of the knackers in the 90's or the many elite centre backs we seemed to have in the PL in the early to mid 00's.

I reckon someone like a prime Chris Samba would be playing Champions League these days rather than fucking about with the likes of Blackburn.
