    Forgot about Sessegnon

Didn't Sessegnon absolutely destroy us at SJP when we were in the Championship? Sad how his career has so far turned out. Also, how fucking young must he have been back then? Feel like there's some time difference shenanigans going on, the fact that he's only 23 now but destroyed us in 2017.

Didn't realise he was only 17, what a prospect he was back then.

He was quite famous like

What a strange rule. Could you in theory just go to the MLS and say you wanted to sign a shit load of players and just hope they're snapped up by someone else? Got to be more to it than that. They should definitely change the name of the rule as well [emoji38]

He's obviously a key part of the recruitment team, but in recent windows there's been a tendency to pay a lot for potential, particularly in the English market. There isn't anything wrong with that, but given the PSR limitations we may need to take a few more risk by looking at cheaper alternatives further afieid.

Yep, definitely feels like we've exhausted the funds in the "young, British & available" pot until we it the drop off / Richard Masters gets sacked and need to be adding quality (the likes of Ederson would have been ideal before the entire world realised he was a great player).

Just looking at his odds for what club he will be at after the summer transfer window shuts

    Us 4/9

    Citeh 4/1

    Arsenal 7/1

    Psg 12/1

    20/1 Bar

Incase anyone wants a few quid to soften the blow if he does go

May as well be 9999999999999999999/1 [emoji38]

It's a friendly with a B-Team in order to see who deserves to be in the main 26, this game literally means nothing. It's fine

Bit of a contradiction there, it means everything to those trying to get into the squad.

  6. Loads chanting "he's one of our own" and referring to us as The Mags in the Gallowgate tonight. Some even started chanting that they couldn't wait to get home. Smelly tramps.

For all the ones slagging him off, lets look at this logically without wearing NUFC rose tinted glasses.

He has a choice of working for Asda for £10 an hour or Tesco for £15 an hour. Tesco is a couple of miles away whilst Asda is 250 miles from where he lives. He has no love for either company, however the benefits of working at Tesco are also better. Which one would you choose?

What the fuck are you on about

  9. He's an upgrade on what we've got. I've liked him for a while now, albeit most of what I've seen is MotD / highlights, so may be a bit of Morten Gamst Pedersen syndrome on my behalf, but I've got a thing for attacking midfielders who just run at defenders and are a constant threat, which he appears to be.

I’m not saying he’s Pele either? I’m just saying what he brings is different, so of course it transforms us and how we play when he’s on the pitch. And no one else in the squad offers what he does. Not sure where that’s getting lost in translation?

I somewhat agree with you, I just think we could find a better player to do what he does. Joe Willock doesn't get a game for anyone who finished above us in the league imo.

Of course he transforms it. It’s not about him being better than those who you mentioned, it’s about him bringing a completely different dynamic to the pitch than anyone else we have. No one in the squad touches him when it comes to being dynamic while running with/carrying the ball. Maybe Isak, but that’s not really where we want him most of the time.

Jesus, I think you're going way overboard with praise there like. Like I say, he's not a bad player by any means and I like him, but he's not fucking Pele [emoji38]

I think y’all are just forgetting how good and effective he can be because he’s been out most of the season. He transforms our midfield when he’s fit.

He's not a bad player, yeah. Transforms our midfield? Nah. He's not on the level of Joelinton or Bruno. I've no idea how good Tonali is, can't remember anything he did other than his debut goal.

  13. Are we going to find ourselves in a situation where the rules have been so twisted and fucked about with that we're going to get to the point where the Europa Conference isn't worth it based off having to adhere to UEFA's regs on top of the PL's (given the crap prize money and negligible coefficient boost you'll get even if you win)?
