I'm glad Will has been kept updated with events.

Anyone else worried that we're doing exceptional business too early?
There's nothing to suggest we couldn't use the remaining time convincing Joe Hart and or Ben Foster to come out of retirement.
Hasnt played football in a year De Gea is also an option.
Fast forward to mid June when some knacker rates the window 4/10 because we haven't signed anyone in weeks.

I’d given you 10/10 if you’d said Bas Dost
My normal go to for that sort of thing is Emerton or Boa Morte. Convinced we were signing both of them back in the day.

Emmanuel Riviere

I'd be amazed if we signed DCL like, the opposite type of player to Isak. If Everton are still knackered and we're able to get him for peanuts, fair enough, otherwise nah.

Paqueta denies any wrongdoing and any knowledge of the suspicious bets, which have been traced to Paqueta Island, off the coast of Rio de Janiero.
No way man

Maybe not then. He does seem like one we brought in to flip for a few million, but would hope he's given a chance with our first team to show more than that before we decide to bin him.

I thought Dummett was getting a new contract extension so can't imagine him moving
Think Ashby is being released. Need to send Alex Murphy out on loan
That's a shame, I seem to recall some West Ham fans were livid when he left them for us as they thought he had real potential. I was at least thinking we'd get 5 million for him from a championship club. Have his loan spells been that bad?

Adding more pace and physicality at the back will transform us. We will be able to put the press on a lot better, coming together nicely if we get these 2 in plus a new keeper
Genuinely think Eddie is trying to avoid the cyclical 3/4 year thing, where players "get bored" of their managers tactics and everything starts breaking down for no apparent reason. That's the only reason i can think we seemingly half arsed the press this season. Think we would have done so without the massive injury crisis too, as it looked that way at the start of the season. The likes of Kelly and Tosin will allow us a bit more flex with our approach to defence. Just about the best possible start to the summer window we could have hoped for and we did it all without a Director of Fuck All / Sporting Director at the helm as well.

I just hate the whole showmanship around it. It makes me want to gouge my eyes out when I see things like "here we go, coming soon!"
Get tae fuck man.

One that helps us sign some players and in turn win some games of football. Although I really do think people are overestimating the influence that this role has on visible (to us outsiders) outcomes. We've got much bigger priorities in terms of the playing squad, training ground, SJP & commercial deals IMO.
Still this tbh. Folk are spending a lot of time thinking / worrying about something that's fairly inconsequential imo. A good SD or DoF improves our prospects 2 or 3 years down the line by a fairly negligible amount. We'll still have a good manager working with great coaches, scouts and physios regardless of who replaces Dan Ashworth.

They want to find their own John Laurinitis. Good luck to them, they're going to need it.

Warlock not fancy one last hurrah?

Juve's is one that sticks out for me. Imagine the fume if we came out with a semi double lined N as our new logo? Guess it would have to be a small 'n' to be like for like but jesus, it's as basic as you get.

This the same Ademola Lookman that Everton didn't fancy a few years ago?

Every man and their dog constantly tells us that football is a results business though.

It's a good point tbf
Tuchel ended up at Bayern, Potter recently turned down Ajax and is linked to every "big job" going in England. Poch won't have any trouble finding work.
If McKenna believes in his own ability he's probably thinking he'll only enhance his reputation by going there, even if he gets binned within a year the narrative could well be "Same old crazy Chelsea!" rather than "McKenna in over his head".
Nor should he. He did well at Spurs and finished thos season incredibly strong with a very disjointed Chelsea squad. I've no idea what Boehly expects.

You clearly haven't focussed enough on Mateta's ability to hit the target.
Factor in some improvement with a full preseason under Glasner and rationally deduct 2 years from his age for the time spent under Roy and I confidently predict a 45 goal season and value of *reads up thread* 180 million this time next year and plenty of time to improve further
I know you're saying that tongue in cheek, but do you get the feeling that Mateta is a one season wonder or something has just clicked and he's going to bang them in for a few years?

Sign for Chelsea and you're financially sorted for the rest of your life or stay with Ipswich on a relatively poor wage and potentially never get an opportunity like this ever again. You can see why the likes of him would jump at a chance like this.

This is just missing some quotes from Sir Alex calling us absolutely all sorts and we have a full house.

Doubt they'd be dead if the Cloudflare page is appearing, gotta pay for that I believe.

Why is Kompany linked? Burnley were absolutely horseshit in the PL this season.

Why even name their positions?
