  1. They finished 9th in a poorer league to us. Hardly stuff to make us quiver in our boots.
  2. Kasper you're an utter genius, I've unashamedly stolen some of these for the site. You have been credited!
  3. Am I going mad here or is it not the responsibility of the person who wants the visa to sort it out?!
  4. I got mine in XL and it's rather sizeable Think I'll get Shola 23 on again. I'm actually thinking of getting Shola 23 on every single shirt I ever buy, regardless of which club/country it is, for the rest of my life.
  5. That is pretty pleasing to look at like. Adding a striker and lb will make it a very good summer for us A 4th CB is an essential purchase IMO.
  6. Excellent! Has a blinder. Sold for a £905475094760797 to Liverpool Goalkeeping problems solved plus enough money to fund a new set of plastic knives and forks in the directors box. Everyone's a winner.
  7. Alternatively if he had absolutely no intention of coming he would have flat out said no by now. Didn't he say "I stay in Paris" ?
  8. I wouldn't mind seeing Jonas have another go pushed a bit further forward like he was at Chelsea. Played well there when he had the chance. Krul Gosling - Taylor - Coloccini - Tavernier Barton - Cabaye - Tiote - Marveaux Jonas Ba
  9. That would mean we'd have Ba, Erdinc, Best, Shola, Ranger, Lovenkrands, Ben Arfa and Vuckic potentially fighting it out for places in and around the striking positions. We don't need anyone else after that like. Just a shame the one's in bold will struggle to hit 20 goals a season between them. How did they manage 23 last season then? I don't rate Ranger, Loven and Shola either, but you're making such a crap case it's laughable. I said 'struggle', not that they 'couldn't'. I believe last season they performed above their natural level of ability, and if called upon to play the same number of games this season that I don't think they would perform as well. I'm not stating a 'case', i'm stating my opinion.
  10. Surely the work of a striker is to put the ball in the net? If it is, then yes he did.
  11. 31 goals in 2 years is a phenominal amount for a central midfielder, agreed?

get a life man. The thought of part of our club's heritage being replced by tacky shit is a bit of a deal to us, 'man'. Bollocks man, it's a rumour about a plastic sign ffs. That is broadcast around the world and one of the first things you notice inside SJP, 'man'. It's irrelavent to both what happens on the pitch and what happens in peoples lives. It's an advertising hoarding and nothing more. Why people are worrying themselves sick about it is beyond me. I'm sure he hasn't been physically sick over it.

  15. 4 + an inevitable 3 or 4 more through suspension. I'm actually cautiously optimistic that having an effective partner (Cabaye) next to him should mean he picks up less silly bookings. Nolan, for all the goals he scored, was pretty anonymous in loads of games in general play which meant Tiote was in the middle of the park without too much support. We'll see. Aye, Tiote was doing the work of 2 CMs last season, given Cabaye isn't a statue and is capable of movement, Tiote's workload should decrease which hopefully will result in fewer bookings. Possibly due to the fact that Nolan was doing the work of two strikers for a large chunk of the season. He wasn't. Nolan was a very good player for us last season, despite his lack of mobility, but that is a stupid statement. He's scored 31 goals in the past two seasons. I reckon that papers over the cracks massively in our forward line.

  18. So we've got 8 first team squad CM's and 3 first team squad CB's. Someone can't do the maths at NUFC...
  19. It's always a knee injury. Same with every taxi driver I've ever spoken too... and all of my uncles. When I was in NYC a fella told me he used to play football with Michael Essien as a child as was always better than him, but did his knee in. In a career twist he then ended up selling I <3 NY T Shirts in Times Square and, since I was a football fan, he could do me a 'special price' of $20. He eventually settled on $4.
  20. Would still require a pause in play. Surely if the ball bounces just over the line and out, they could play on if the ref wasn't sure, and if the 4th official says it was a goal then they stop the game and award the goal....

Apparently we're running out to "SportsDirect.com.....the UK's number one" next year instead of Local Hero too.
  22. Wow. Villa really showing us up here. Because they've signed a player? Because they've sold a couple of their quality players, identified someone as good (if not better) and spent the money on bringing him in. If we'd done the same with Carroll, there'd be fewer complaining. We've done that with Nolan though (Cabaye) and we're attempting to replace Carroll with Ba and Erdinc. Not to mention the new water fountain at the training ground and tarmac at sd.com@SJP. You fans demand too much. [/Llambias]
  23. Leeds United reserves are now sponsored by Flamingo Land and season ticket holders get free entry to the park
