  2. His contract ends at midnight, meaning tomorrow is the first day this millennium that NUFC won't have an Ameobi as an employee.
  3. Twitter seems to think John Terry is signing for Villa.
  4. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/625284/David-Ginola-Newcastle-Transfer-News-Rafa-Benitez-Mike-Ashley-Kevin-Keegan Spent the past week in China.
  5. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/mike-ashley-stands-firm-on-cash-pledge-as-newcastle-close-in-on-targets-1-8617016 Don't worry, people. Ashley has this sorted.
  6. I think they'd need government legislation change for that? They could trial the rail seats in league one or two though where standing is currently allowed
  7. Rafa is absolutely gagging for his first transfer bath of the summer.

    Graham Carr

I wonder if there's been disagreements on which players to go for hence the lack of movement so far for incomings.
  9. More will become available on Monday when the non renewers are released
  10. Don't see him fitting in to the way they play.
  11. Shola signed up for another season at Notts County.
  12. It's a recipe for cash flow problems. It's the done thing abroad to pay for transfers in instalments, so Ashley's policy of all cash up front might 'confuse' some foreign teams, especially a team like Eibar which is so small. Guaranteed income over X years looks better for their business than a lump sum. Might be going there in a few weeks, wife was born near there and off to see her family on hols. Income =/= cash flow. Matching principle states you must recognise the income in the period that it's received, so the full value of the transfer would be shown in this years accounts, even if physical cash is received in future periods.
  13. aye, the review system in cricket is only to overturn significantly wrong decisions in cricket. Anything that's marginal still goes with the on field umpire. System works well but maybe needs a couple of tweaks like the % of the ball that has to be hitting the stumps for it to be umpires call.
  14. Only Sels I think. Sels signed on 26th June according to google
  15. I used to work in the club shop and that's printed correctly. Just looks daft as seven is quite a "fat" number in comparison to 1
  16. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/11/newcastle-future-doubt-admits-england-under-20-goalkeeper-freddie/ Bit of a dramatic headline, seems like he's just saying he doesn't know if he'll go out on loan
  17. Looks like a waistcoat from behind
  18. Want Watford or Burnley at home first up. Think it'll be Man U (a) first, Huddersfield (a) Boxing Day and either Everton or Liverpool (a) last day
