no, FIFA rules apply to period from July to June irrespective of whether the season is a summer or a winter one, something like this happened to my local club Cork City back in 07 or something like that, 2 players signed but couldn't play until July
-
they appear to have gotten the date of the season ending wrong, that was 11 days ago.
-
since when does a reserve game count towards this?
-
think the fact that the champ (and lower) are classified as "emergency" loans kinda gets around the 3 club rule while longer term loans don't.
-
the age alone would ensure Ashley would never permit signing him let alone the wage and contract length
-
sounds like the kind of thing we'd do, someone going cheap but if it goes right could be worth a lot. This of coarse implies we're going to sign anyone which is just silly
-
thing is if they sell him now they almost certainly go down so it makes sense for them to keep him unless the offer can beat £60m they get for staying up
-
personally preferred Stephanie Roche goal but hey they were all great goals so why get upset over it
-
while not quite the worst decision they could make (JFK appearing for a third time would be that) its still would be quite horrific a decision but would anyone be surprised? Above all else Carver would be a great deal cheaper than anyone like Garde etc and would be very grateful for the job so no speaking out against Ashley on anything and easily controlled-the ideal candidate in Ashleys eye. Of coarse it will end disasterously and at the very least I'd expect us to get sucked into a relegation battle completely needlessly.
-
he managed to put up with JFK suddenly becoming his boss I'm sure he can cope with anything at this point after that

Luiz is a fine footballer extremely talented, he just lacks any of the skills associated with the art of being a defender and any of the discipline required to be a top class or even competent cb. How he's gotten onto that list or PSG paid €50m for him is beyond me

100% agree, take out Simeone do Atletico even come close to where they are right now?

Martyn Ziegler @martynziegler · 57m 57 minutes ago Chelsea accounts filed at Companies House - £190m wage bill 3rd highest in PL behind MUFC £215m + MCFC £205m. Southampton's wage bill? £47m. Martyn Ziegler @martynziegler · 57m 57 minutes ago Chelsea accounts show £65m profit on player sales in 2013/4 from David Luiz, Mata and de Bruyne. Helped club register 18m profit overall.
-
that looks a horrible deal for Toronto
-
pretend to blend in I suppose, that or Chelsea supporters have gotten really apathetic
-
Probably offered him buttons. I read recently our wage bill hasn't changed in 7 years despite all the extra TV cash. the accounts whenever they come out will be interesting if nothing else to see how they try and dodge around the fact they got a shitload of extra tv cash yet managed not to spend any of it on new players last year
-
well they're hardly going to bad mouth him and say he's completely unsuited for the job are they?
-
I'd worry more about the probable scenario of us getting relegated and Pardew keeping Palace up at our expense, I have seen nothing at all that indicates Carver will get the results needed to stay up. And theres the inevitable sale of a player or two, probably Sissoko maybe Cisse and Tiote to take into account as well Oh no. That's relegation nailed on if that happens... ok granted that might be ok on its own but the squad isn't exactly deep to begin with here removing options for whomever is in charge and who will not be replaced until summer at best (if at all) is not something I'm in favour of.

££££££££££££ well that rules that one out then

That's the thing, he is THE cheap option the rest would require compensation. Sherwood wouldn't. That's who we'll end up with. The club want someone who will accept the fact that they have no control over transfers. That rules out Sherwood immediately. They were the conditions at Tottenham. and you may have noticed he isn't there now. He was rather public in his disagreements with Levy and how he runs things and Levy is saintly in comparison to Ashley
-
yet you won't pay £2.5m for Scott Sinclair?
-
'erm Mike, he wants his own backroom staff in' 'next....' Not saying it's true but Northern Echo said the other day that he'll be allowed to bring in his own staff while the board deal with transfers. You can see it now; "you can have as many back room staff as you want Remi, your budget is 3 peanuts and a lifetime subscription to Woman's Weekly." good to see them increasing the budget

didn't Ryder get some award last month too? That would say a lot about sports journalism if true
