  1. apparently he did get it spot on according to laws of the game. Still say its bullshit
  2. I've literally never heard about it before You've never wondered why players don't just dribble the ball from a free kick/corner?! So why wasn't a in-direct free kick offered then? Seems to me a rule that favours only the kick taker. when it's taken from inside the penalty area, the ball isn't "live" until it leaves the penalty area. Since Hart fucked it up inside, it was just a retake. Anywhere else on the field and it would have been, or if his 2nd touch had been outside the box. load of bullshit tbh he fucked up he shouldn't get a get out of jail free card
  3. I've literally never heard about it before same here, honestly sounds like they made it up to bail englands joe hart out of trouble
  4. near enough to £200m in transfer fees for the starting 11
  5. this, indirect free kick for QPR would surely be the logical decision
  6. waiting for the ref to find a way to disallow it
  7. the fuck just happened? why was the 2nd disallowed?

    Kevin Keegan

it was a fair amount for the time (not by modern standards obviously) damned if I can remember any figures but off the top of my head the only major sale under him was Cole, the sales of Ginola, Ferdinand etc came after him irrc. I intended for those to be taken in account also... Off the top of my head with little thought we got our money back for Ferdinand and Ginola and doubled what we paid for Fox and trippled what we paid for Cole... We even got £750k for Kevin Scott off Spurs iirc while I'm reasonably certain thats true I find it highly unlikely he'd have agreed to the sales if he was still here.

  13. Feels like the seasons hasn't had chance to start makes it worse theres only 1 real game this time
  14. Southampton are an excellent example. They have a great academy, but look at the summer, they all fled after having a very good season. In future there is nothing to stop the likes of Chelsea and Man City from snatching these players early on to place into their academies. Yup but they reinvested it's all about building up to the point where big players stay. problem is it only takes once for the sell players and improve plan to fail to fuck it all up. They have defied all normal football logic when it comes to selling off that many players at once the worst thing they could do is think they can repeat the trick.
  15. Yep, they sort of won the league by accident last year. If Mourinho's ego hadn't been big enough to think he could turn Torres' form around and they bought a proper striker instead then Chelsea would have probably won it. Even Liverpool should have sealed the deal the position they were in, as you say Chelsea were 2 results away from the title even then, win at home to Sunderland (they lost) and a win at home to Norwich (draw) both late in the season they win it and those are two games you expect them to win easily enough. Gets a bit overlooked how they blew it too probably because of all that "little horse" bullshit Mourinhio said once and the media ran into the fucking ground with.
  16. complacency seems to be a major problem, in all honesty they got away with it last season because of the lack of any really outstanding side and Liverpool bottling the title, this season however Chelsea aren't going to make mistakes like that.
  17. not on the level man city should be aiming for with that kind of spend. You spend that kind of money to win the champions league.
  18. Is this their third season in a row now? 4th, so far 2 group exits (1 entirely from europe the first out into europa league) and actually getting through last season
  19. there is literally no excuse, plenty of champions league experience and the group while tougher than you might like isn't that tough, Roma are not that good, let alone CSKA.
  20. well that was rather pathetic from City
  21. Jonathan Wilson ‏@jonawils 2m2 minutes ago Err, so, City's midfield v Bayern in three weeks... Good luck, James.
  22. how can City be so consistently bad in Europe
