  1. oh dear Liverpool what awful defending
  2. I'm actually still not sure what his best position is? Me too - doesn't really fit in anywhere. he's had the most effect on games for us on the wing tbh.
  3. Switching out Mingolet for Krul is a sideways move at best for them tbh.
  4. Got to drum up interest early. Makes sense. could hurt his chances too, players like Cabaye can look good in a bad team by creating and scoring goals etc. However even if Tiote plays well that defense of ours is going to concede goals and lots of them which will make him look bad by association and could lead to him frustrated and going back to being booked every game because of it.
  5. They definitely need a proper DM mind. in theory but Wengers not one to sign what they need when he can just sign another attacking midfielder to play behind the striker
  6. I find it hard to believe Arsenal of all clubs would actually try to sign him.
  7. They're not great but they're not as awful as they look at the moment. they're nowhere near good enough. Williamson is our best central defender, how many other premier league teams would he get in and start every week?
  8. I think it's a mixed picture, sometimes a great manager can be let down by not having the right resources. Martinez at Wigan for example. But either way, what you definitely can't have is a manager that makes every player worse and produces a team which is much less than the sum of its parts. That's what Pardew is doing. Yes, that's for sure. Your squad is way better than it shows. not sure its that much better, I look at that spine of the side and I see a terrible set of cbs, a central midfield area lacking anything resembling creativity and up front none of them look up to it. To top it off there is nothing and I mean nothing resembling leadership in the squad If we had Mapou and HBA it's a lot better than it shows, as of now it's still performing about 8 places below its level IMO. Willo and Colo aren't that appalling if they're confident and set up right either, and the team as a whole is functioning. Colo's done and Williamson very meh at the best of times.

  10. I know many people think he wouldn't come here but I think he'd jump at the chance. He needs to rebuild his career in the premier and a high profile club like Newcastle is probably as good an offer as he will get. I don't think any of the big clubs would be in for him after what happened at Man U. Personally I think he'll struggle with Carr's players for the same reason as Pardew. He's a defensive manager with old fashioned ideas. in theory but heres the key problem, Mike Ashley. Mike Ashley who doesn't want to try in the slightest in the cups or compete for europe or compete in any meaningful fashion just exist to advertise sports direct. Now if your Moyes why the fuck would you go for that when there's literally almost any other club in the premier league who would try to compete or try in the cups, let him make his own transfers and pay him more. Also his next job is vital for his career to proverbially say the man utd thing wasn't his fault but a club issue etc and he's still an excellent manager-the best way to do that is win a trophy. He can do a lot better than here.
  11. Don't buy that for one second. Ashley would have to be moronic to let that get written into a contract, and after everything else he's had to already pay out (Allardyce, Keegan) he's not getting bit twice. worth pointing out Ashley is never the one to write the contracts agree terms etc, that would have been Llambias who did rather like Pardew. I'm sure ashley would be interested in the contract of the manager of the team. I highly doubt he's involved in any detailed manner at the club. He may have agreed to the idea of a new contract but it doesn't mean he was the one negotiating and deciding on those kind of clauses.
  12. that hasn't stopped Jamie Redknapp, Paul Merson or well most pundits in general

  14. reckless lunge on Downing apparently
  15. good defending is becoming rarer and rarer
  16. real madrid logic, defenders or defensive players don't sell shirts or get big sponsorship so fuck them.
