iirc southampton spent rather big last summer too, one of the bigger spenders in europe
-
iirc they had a lot of trouble getting a manager and said fuck it Blancs available They desperately want Wenger for some reason even though everything he stands for is the opposite of what they do
-
Spurs not exactly impressive there
-
Mata injured? too much of a footballer for Mourinhio's taste
-
I'll save you the bother of false hope its not
-
Do you have a non Itunes link for it?
-
you know its really odd any championship club would give 5 years to a manager to steadily improve as Derby have instead of randomly sacking to try to get to prem asap
-
agreed, shouldn't be allowed. we do it far too much. i'd also make it league rules that strips are designed so that theres no need for 3rd strips. fat chance with the modern climate in football, not that I disagree mind. Could be worse though a month or two ago my local club Cork City brought out a new away strip (in the middle of the season for whatever strange reason) and bloody played in the thing at home

I think the idea is to not put the other player in danger of breaking limbs. Absolute shit house tackle from a shithouse of a bloke. its just poor coaching, its fucking basics that a club will show everyone what is a safe way to win the ball without recklessly endangering your fellow professionals regardless of whether they're a defender or striker
-
they could struggle against Fenerbache this week, whatever about us not sorting out signings blah blah blah pardew out blah blah blah it is patently ridiculous that a club with Arsenals resources haven't gotten anyone of note in when they have 2 hugely important games which the entire basis of how they run the club is decided
-
See also: O'Neill, Martin. also Pulis, Tony
-
he really has no idea what qualifies as a safe way to tackle someone
-
This. Don't even dislike them because you're "supposed to". It's a general combination of their fans, antics and city Really think they must be among the more disliked teams among neutrals as well. just rtg for me and their tendency to employ rather unlikable managers (that said my opinion on bruce has softened since he got sacked)

The Spanish Football Podcast is a new one by Sid Lowe and Phil Kitromilides on obviously enough La Liga, only 1 episode of it so far but could be worth keeping an eye on if your interested in Spanish football
-
Players being blamed already. Particularly the forrinas. lovely absolution of all blame from himself, will cause serious problems if he keeps up with it
-
not exactly the most solid defender I've ever seen but good on the ball and bringing it forward is he worth the ridiculous sum of money they paid for him? probably not but english player tax and he is a useful player but imho he needs to decide on a position or just become another John O'Shea a solid jack of all trades in his prime but lacking the true quality of a top player. Agree with Froggy looks more a holding midfielder than defender

It's not like. It's like the fucking Big Brother aftershow or something. yet by the mere presence of Jamie Redknapp somehow stupider
-
no league goals conceded either. Fantastic start for him
-
who thought it was a good idea to give the moron Redknapp his own show
-
not really the type of player Martinez typically used at Wigan so it really might not be if they get a big enough price. Not that anyone will at the price Everton will want

The first reply If off-target shots from 25 yards counted for anything, we'd be unstoppable. if they counted Tiote would be better than Messi

I beg to differ. They have a habit of stuttering at the start of the season, can't believe I included them on my accy. 2nd half of last season they had title-winning form, didn't they? then they need to sign players, they're squad is as paper thin as ours is but with a much higher expectation, theres no excuse anymore for Wenger not to sign anyone
