Tony Barrett @TonyBarretTimes Daniel Agger's agent quoted as saying Agger isn't injured and says his omission from #LFC squad is down to the manager and club. Interesting
-
His move to Spuds was far worse than Carrolls to Liverpool has been. Fish out of water. Eh? Worse for who? Pienaar tried a new club, didn't work out, got to play in the CL, ended back where he began after a year or two. Spurs got a good player for a year or two, and made money. Carroll went to a club who patently don't want him, and he's still there. Liverpool paid thirty-five million pounds for him. The Pienaar transfer was only worse for the selling club. I'm just baffled at how you've somehow made a bloody profit Levy I think just good faith on both our and Everton's side. Pienaar was at the end of his contract, so we got a bargain. He's clearly a classy player and terrific for Everton, so in a strange way they got a bargain too. 4.5M for a player who's that influential? You know all about that (Cabaye). true but I can't help think of it as an 18 month loan to spurs and everton paying you 1.5m for it

just not feeling it like that insane night when HBA was at the airport

Not bad. Though.. what took Vlaar so long? If Villa were waiting for Collins to go before signing Vlaar, that seems a little Very Brownsesque. edit: not really all that Brownsian, they would've got rid of Collins and signed Gavin Hoyte on a free. Dunno, his medical was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, and we agreed fee and terms ages ago. Ultimately, this is precisely the wheeling and dealing MON refused to engage in. Also, disturbing utterings we were paying Collins 48k a week. That just says it all, really. good grief. Hell aren't you paying Dunne more than that?

delighted for him but raises a bug bear of mine, august international friendlies, most take place before a single game in any of the major european leagues have been played which is just plain stupid.

apparently its only half the amount raised going to reduce debt, the other half right into the Glazers pockets

Arsenal was the rumoured club doing the rounds last week. aye I was just speculating and possibly putting 2 and 2 together and making 5
-

I've read Sahin is off on loan to a premier league club not sure i'd put him into the superstar category but he'd be a solid signing

probably more, you sort of get used to shola's 9 out of 10 games level of incompetence but Skirge finds new ways to surprise us

theres a thread for shite like this

Ian Abrahams @Moose_talkSPORT West Ham have not signed Andy Carroll just that a bid has been accepted - my information is the player doesnt want to join West Ham
-
The BBC report wasn't completely clear. It sounds like they've agreed a deal with Liverpool and been allowed to talk to the player. Part 2 - probably the hard bit - is persuading the player to join. bingo though it does make a mockery of what rogers was saying just a few days ago
-
methinks they're obligated to bid 17m if they stay up but could then do something like offer him a fiver a week or something if they don't want him
-
We will never match that in a million years. considering it was said we'd never go after him in the first place not in a million years I say suspend all disbelief and wait and see what happens
-
I think he probably already has, i doubt Liverpool would have agreed a deal with West Ham without Carroll agreeing the move before hand. given he's said he will only go on loan to a team in Europe and well this is Liverpool I have my doubts Did he say that, or was it just reported? more or less every news source was saying it but no direct quotes obviously
