good grief at the luke edwards tweet, if Llorente was to leave Athletic it would be for clubs far bigger paying far more than that bunch of tosspots

Rangers fans have conducted themselves very well throughout this entire saga. They're the only group involved who have said they should take their medicine and start in Division Three. I have sympathy with them, but at the end of the day it's not just that their previous owners have been doing something illegal. The current situation has arisen because they've simply accrued a massive tax bill and are unable to pay it resulting in liquidation. Rulings haven't even been made on the legality of the EBTs and the big tax case. Green is arguing that newco Rangers shouldn't have to suffer further punishment because of the actions of the previous owners which is an understandable position until you realise he's quite happy to claim the history of the old club, including the titles that have been won when they were effectively financially doping. there's a part of me that thinks they were so ready to accept division 3 was in part to kinda spite the SFA and SPL as in "lets see how you do without us then"

looks interesting enough, be curious to see if they have anywhere near the behind the scenes stuff the 4 year plan had

How do we know this? Not having a go and I have just based my post on an assumption. Just wondered where the 25% profit came from? That's what I've mostly read, and it makes far more sense than 25% of any sell-on fee. Obviously, Liverpool got taken to the cleaners in this deal, but it's hard to imagine us agreeing to 25% of any transfer fee. Then again, from the word go, we passed on the fee to Chelsea (nobody knows, but I reckon that when Ashley pulled £35m out of his arse, we called up Chelsea and asked for £20m more for Torres. They agreed, we agreed). With that thinking (i.e. someone else is paying), it's possible they agreed to anything it was such a daft day and well its Ashley I lean more to the 25% of any fee full stop because what would be the point of any profit based one? As Ashley and LLambias knew very well no one would ever be stupider than Liverpool in regards to Carroll (and as llambias put it he's worth fuck all)

I quite like him. I think it stems from his commentaries for Capital in the 80s and 90s, where he was mad enthusiastic but knowledgeable with it. Better radio commentator than TV commentator, but at least he shows some insight. Compared to fucking Alan Green he's the commentators' Messiah. its the superior tone he takes that does it for me, like one motd when Lampard gave a good performance and he asked in a very very very superior tone of voice asks how anyone could ever dare write off frank lampard

I question whether anyone employed at the bbc football department knows what they're saying
