or ashley dug into his pocket and decided to give ben arfa as an apology to the fans for hughton sacking............. nah not likely your probably right
-
If we got £8 million for Routledge you'd want to use the money to buy Shaun Wright-Phillips?! ffs tbf getting 8m for routiledge might remove all senses as llambias ashley and pardew laugh themselves silly
-
paul barron being interviewed on talksport now
-
How the fucking fuck can they justify that? how can they justify that and still not buy a decent defender or goalkeeper
-
Perch -Young dynamic defender -versatility- can play in any position in defense -Won't shirk a tackle, holds the current prem record for 5 yellows in his first 5 premier league games
-
Was thinking that. What does that even mean? 'continuing to monitor'? i'm assuming if hes going kinda cheap or on loan stick our own matching bid in
-
woy ain't deciding the transfer strategy of liverpool though, commolei (spelling?) is
-
don't tell liverpool that!
-
christ the spurs "itks" have spread off the net and onto the radio on talksport texting in is there no escape from these attention seekers and why do spurs have so many more than the average club gets

Can't see Newcastle matching Brum's offer. It's said to be £7m. Unbelievable if true. i can't believe they're offering 7m for 1 minute, if they had that kind of cash they'd have used it in the summer
-
apparently we're "monitoring developments" on keane MirrorDarren Darren Lewis Birmingham confirm they are in talks with Spurs with a view to signing Robbie Keane. Newcastle continuing to monitor developments.

I can remember quite rating him at West Ham, not sure why now like! tbh i rated him even earlier this season after he got the sack at southampton, then i sort of forgot about him
-
who knows he could turn out to be half useful, hell if shola can make it as a prem striker...........
-
got on a thought run and it sort of spewed out tidied

Can Tottenham ever get better than what they're currently at? I'd say they're at 95% of what they're capable of. Think the best they can ever be is a top 4 side occasionally with the odd Cup win. We're at about 60% of where we could be capable of, which in 4-5 years time could be where Spurs are now. If he's to leave us, it should be for a club like Man Utd, Chelsea, or God forbid, Man City, where he knows he's going to win stuff regularly in the next 10 years. I don't agree that we're currently at 95% of what we're capable of tbh. Providing Levy still backs us financially, we keep all our decent players and invest in a few positions, we can be much bigger then we are now in a few years. It all depends on other teams though. being honest and not intending to disparage spurs or anything i think its a matter of reach and i just can't see spurs consistently over the next 5-10 years challenging for the title competing for cl etc, few can without the kind of man city level of investment and sooner or later the real big sharks in the transfer market will come sniffing for bale, modric, van der vaart etc and their head could get turned if a man utd or real madrid (except in vdv case obviously) or barcelona wanted them.

the signing of barfa does show some ambition from ashley, like with all things hes not the savior we all hoped he would be after he overthrew the original fat dictator however hes not pure horrendous either, we as football supporters tend to get carried away on things. Yes he cocked up several major times in first 2 years, hiring keegan in retrospect for the system he wanted to use at the time was a bad idea, having jfk anywhere near the club was a horrendous idea and gambling it all on a shearer lift in the final 8 games was a bad idea in retrospect, however in the last 18 months there has been an upturn in sense with the occasional major lapse. While he stumbled on hughton more than anything he still decided to give him a go after he earned a real shot at the job in his role as caretaker, he did back his manager sensibly enough in last jan and the summer. Sacking hughton i can't agree with at any level but if i had to play devils advocate i think it would be down to not beating relegation rivals, iirc out of sides who are realistically in the relegation fight we only beat wolves (i'm open to correction here) and with home losses to stoke blackpool etc it didn't look good. We'll have to wait and see if he really has learned his lesson but thus far we do seem to be on a slight upward trajectory

for the moment i see no danger of ac9 going, he's playing for his boyhood club wearing the no 9 and getting into the england side, why would he want to leave now? of coarse that may change in the future and he may want to move up the footballing ladder in which case we'd better hope the club moves on up quick enough to match his ambition
-
tight game, won't have it nearly as easy as we had it vs them last time on which wasnt that the first game barton played on the right and we all thought hughton was insane at the time?
-
nice to have this sorted and no fear of other club beating us to the punch in the summer (which is why the move was made now no doubt), well done to the hierarchy of the club for once now striker please
-
i do remember them saying something like that when caulkin tweeted about this last week never mind the fact that welbeck isn't their player and if hes as good as they think fergie will want him back and thus they have no chance of getting him on a permanent also seem to recall them saying something about the french league being shit and so are players out of it until someone reminded that gyan played in france last season
-
no doubt thats what they would like but at the end of the day if we came up with cash for either player that was reasonable i'd say they'd sell them without any carroll input
-
i'd say left wing but allow him free reign to cut inside like barton does on the right to great effect
-
