  1. He's a proper stroppy fucker, isn't he? rather but a good defender none the less
  2. and most of those will be gone come the 1st day of the season
  3. kings played more than rio so whos the real crock there?
  4. Looking at that list, barring injury, I can't see Capello picking him ahead of Rooney, Heskey, Defore and Crouch. He might go with 5 strikers. i can see him going with walcott as winger/striker
  5. oh i don't know many things can be said about ashley/llambias but at least they only come out with something stupid on a biannual basis rather than the weekly sullivan comes out with with him talking to the london based media regularly I bet they'll spend more than we do in the summer though.... yeah well there going to sell most of that team anyway so theres the funds for that
  6. We won't stay up if CH is manager all season. then enlighten who we can realisticly get who can keep us up and don't just make statements like that. none of us know whether hughton can keep us up, 12 months ago if we were told hughton would get us promoted as champions with an unbeaten home record and over 100 points people would have been laughing at the idea.
  7. see not worthy of a thread

  9. ian holloway for me but well done chrissy
  10. Makes sense. They'd have had to move fast, and with him in, I doubt they'd have to worry about relegation next year. Certainly rate Avram. hope avram turns around and says fuck you two. Detest the pair of them.
  11. how in the name of god can 30 seconds of game time this season hargreaves get into the england wc squad.
  12. worth a punt who knows he and arsene may prefer us to get him
  13. the guardian bitch says we're after welbeck cleverly and wilshire on loan

    Bosman list

    joe cole please
  15. well its hardly like he'd be the first manager who hasn't had much cash to spend
  16. The common sense you mention reads more like clutching at straws. Where does the statement categorically rule out the purchase of any new plaers what so ever? If anything there are more indications suggesting we will buy players than we won't. Anyway, time will tell. Irrespective of whether we're buying anyone or not. Do you think it's a well written statement that benefits the club overall? Does it bring clarity? Does it put an end to negative press? Does it improve relations with the fans? A 'no' on all counts then. Oh I agree it's a very poorly written statement. I just don't think there are grounds for panic yet. what else do we have to do with our time though? may as well panic
  17. sooooooooo beckford anyone?
  18. No offence to Stifler but.... sorry I can't finish that without offending him. As said, the statement is just f***ing stupid. It's obvious it will be taken negatively so why even bother releasing it. There is no way you can dress this up to look good. The alternative of course was a full summer of being linked with players then getting to September wondering why we've spent little/nothing. At least we know from the off what the state of play is. Which isn't going to help the sale of season tickets meaning less money coming in to get us breaking even. we'll easily make a profit next season if we spend no money, an extra 30m-40M will be coming in from tv and sponsorship We won't. we will hard to see considering theres a 20m overdraft to pay off
  19. Considering the rest of the statement, as in how precise and going over things several times, this being left open to interpretation was intentional imo, god knows why. keep prices low perhaps? very odd the key line is ambiguous
  20. still baffled by no new capital spending line, does that mean no capital spending on players at all or no new plans above what is budgeted for already
  21. what doesnt add up to me is the no capitial spending line. now if we cant spend with more cash from prem this summer how could we spend with even less cash available in jan?
  22. selling colo would seem the most logical move given his high wages however saylor would fetch a higher fee for hughton to play around with, do not sell both sell one or the other. raylor is expendable, smith if someone makes an offer (i dont expect one) xisco obviously and with a high enough offer (imo 8m plus) jonas
  23. hard to make much out of that positive we (kinda, maybe, not so sure) know where we stand not so positive is the no capital spending thing. That could mean no spending unless we sell first or means we wont spend much and not beyond the means of the club
  24. and now a month of will he wont he be fit from the press on rooney................yay
