  1. it is a very low amount but thats what need for cash will do to teams.
  2. I've said as much myself elsewhere. But if he is pulling money out of the club to recoup his outlay it rather contradicts the claims of Llambias last month who said: "His commitment is unwavering and the additional large sums of money he has recently pumped into the club amply demonstrate that." and there is 0 proof whatsoever other than this utterly unsubstantiated rumour from the nust to say he is pulling out money
  3. villa don't have money problems
  4. You make it sound as if they're in crisis like us. They're doing more business than anyone else in La Liga so far this month. Signed Tiago with Eduardo Salvio next. hes on something like 80k a week and ain't getting a new one so sell him now for cheap and dont have to pay his wages for next 6 months or lose him for nothing in the summer and still have to pay 80k a week (which works out at close to 2m for the 6 months)
  5. lafa may get desperate and throw kuyt up front, or do something silly like put him at right back
  6. damn it thats actually a good signing from lafa
  7. insofar as i understand its still a limited company just not listed on the stock exchange
  8. SSN web site saying that Brian Laws is set to be announced Manager I've never known a manager to get sacked in the lower leagues and then a week later turn up in the top flight. Crazy. all I will say is lord help burnley
  9. Pathetic if true. What a mess we're in. £800k for a player you signed on a free and who is out of contract in the summer isn't bad. Selling one of only 2 fit centre halfs purely for a quick return is bad. £800k is fuck all anyway. What will that do? Pay the wages for a week? buy a new car for bil kenwright?
  10. Pathetic if true. What a mess we're in. £800k for a player you signed on a free and who is out of contract in the summer isn't bad. even more according to the mirror at 2m
  11. fatso has 2 games to save his job apparently http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Sam-Allardyce-has-two-games-to-save-his-Blackburn-career-as-fan-power-threatens-to-strike-again-exclusive-article285461.html
  12. lucas neill to Galatasaray for 800k according to the times.
  13. all this is brinkmanship from leeds they probably want to move him on as he aint going to sign a new contract but want more, while we ain't going to offer more, leeds are hoping one of these supposed prem teams that are apparently intrested meet their asking price, which i can't see either. Don't be surprised if leeds accept the 1.5m offer later in the window if it still stands as would ken bates really throw away 1.5m plus however much beckfords wages will cost for the rest of the season and lose him for nowt?
  14. reading against the red scousers is on tv i think
  15. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jun/03/english-premier-league-debt I find the refusal to believe Newcastle could turn any kind of profit this season strange with double the gate, advertising, pies, pints and strips while having (apparently) only £8m more in wage bill and non of the debt. our wage bill is 40m a year by my guess and most certainly not less than 30m
  16. arsene has gone mad....................................
  17. gary caldwell apparently snubbing boro for wigan, damn they dodged a bullet there
  18. Got to admit i am struggling to see how we could make a profit though. i cant see any way we're making profit this year reduced income wages while lower still are a huge percentage of our current income however our wages should be WAY lower. We lost alot of players earning big time here. we did but we still have a lot of big earners on the clubs books, by prem standards our wage bill would be sensible given our usual income there but in the championship its not sensible
  19. Got to admit i am struggling to see how we could make a profit though. i cant see any way we're making profit this year reduced income wages while lower still are a huge percentage of our current income We arent talking this year, the accounts would end on 30 June 2009 even then i cant see a profit for last season our wage bill was 60-70m last year by estimates in papers and our income usually lies around the 80-100m mark in the prem and there are other bills that need to be paid
  20. Well that begs the question as to whether Ashley receiving a loan repayment, in whatever form, is taking money out of the club - it isn't for me. its not, hes given the club a loan to repay debts that were owed to banks from freddie and co time (he didnt have a choice but the fact remains he did so) and if he calls in some of that loan he is quite entitled to do so
  21. first off congrats, now i appreciate your not in the loop atm but to state that your going to need substantive evidence to prove that
