Doesn't mean much, to be frank. Any manager they might have secured will have asked to keep it mum until the end of the season, if he's currently managing another team. I have no idea if they can get a manager signed, by the way. Does it work like players, where you can't do it unless they are 6 months left on their contract?

Man, does he need to name-drop Bobby Robson every time he opens his mouth? Anyway, the Charnley quotes aren't that bad. They do seem to want to appoint somebody interesting.

I will give Carver the benefit of the doubt, if only because the first half against Chelsea was pretty impressive, and I like being happy. I do hope he isn't warming the seat for McLaren though, it's like buying advance tix for Nickelback.
  4. Khedira is leaving at the end of the season, while Illarra - while talented - seems to crumble under the pressure.
  5. That's a huge fee for a League One player. Given how hesitant your board is to part with money, they must see something in that lad.
  6. How good is Lucas, btw? My hopes of winning the league rested on Ancelotti running down their starting midfielders since he refuses to play Khedira or Illarra.
  7. I said that already when Kaiz posted the picture tbf, I claim first dibs on raining on his parade.
  8. You can do great, intimidating tifos without resorting to beheading an opposition player, you know.
  9. I love banter and over the top tifos as much as anybody, but I really don't think beheadings and gunning down people are images that should be on a football pitch, imho.
  10. Fuck, he looks EXACTLY like my boss. Scary shit
  11. Given the other available option, I'd have chosen Red too.
  12. No way this tifo would've been allowed in Spain tbf.
  13. Is it the most disgusting thing in the world, though?
  14. Kitchen foil balls a thing in England? We used those during recess at school, since we usually weren't allowed proper balls. We would pool together the wraps of our sandwiches and make an amorphous ball out of them.
  15. Lucho seems to have found the formula, he's finally settled into a starting XI (Busquets-Rakitic-Iniesta midfield plus the three stooges, mainly, with Messi on the right) and the players feel more comfortable. We've been pretty good this January, and beating Atlético convincingly was a good yardstick. We'll see, as you say it might be yet another false dawn.
  16. They left him out of tonight's squad. They are holding out for the maximum amount of money possible, but will be happy to get the cash imho.
  17. Nah, it's par for the course for them; they need to balance the books with sales. He's only become an important player relatively recently so they probably believe they can take the loss.
  18. Griezmann has been truly impressive tonight. It took him a while to get going at Atlético, but he's easily their most in-form attacking player at the moment.
  19. He's been pretty good. Reasonably tall, good in the air, hard worker - a bit weak for a guy his size, maybe. But his progression has been pretty impressive in the few months he's been there.
