Didn't the former owner of Crystal palace end up owning Brentford and made himself manager at some point? Ron Noads I think he was called
We had a Russian millionaire attempting to do the same at several Spanish clubs. Since he didn't have UEFA badges he even posed as a photographer in order to be in the bench.
Front one is Quaresma, second one is Toñito, a Spanish journeyman that was at Sporting at the time.

Can somebody point me towards the "photos of footballers when they were young" thread? I'm drawing a blank with search and a friend of mine has just sent me this gem:

Well, not a particularly good game from us, but a win's a win. Happy to see Rafinha getting a good game, we were characteristically fragile at the back.
It's a bit choosing the tallest of a tribe of pygmies, but Gil and Delph were both actually good today. The team as a whole should be doing better than this.
I don't know how the f*** they managed that, like. Same bloke who edited North Korea's World Cup win over Brazil?
As I said, I didn't watch the game, but whoscored has Krul with 7 saves, which is a lot more than your average.
I didn't watch the game but the highlights they showed in Spain made Krul look one of the better players. Not that great a sign.
Still, Carver is certainly more positive than Pardew. That alone is nice enough to go by.
