  1. Like this, but with a guy's voice.
  2. To be honest, my accent is thicker than Brolin's waist.
  3. 1 goal in 9 starts, 1 in 13 overall. Woah.
  4. I'll play my "English is not my first language" get out of jail card.
  5. CB, although Puyol has been injuried a lot since Ramos was moved there. Dunno what Del Bosque will do with both available, but he certainly sees Ramos/Piqué as the longterm central pairing at the back.
  6. He'd been injuried a lot in France and has just recently started to play regularly. To be frank he'd been in Spain training camps before and he was in one of the WC 2010 shortlists.
  7. Spain still practically play the false-9 Barca style? (in simplistic terms) Yeah, a bit more conservative than the Barça system, though. With Torres dropped, it looks to me that Cesc will be Spain's CF longterm
  8. Reminds me of when Sevilla bought Baptista. Big black dude = defensive mid, but they deployed him behind the strikers instead and he became a goal machine.
  9. Bergkamp has to be there, somehow.
  10. Aye, his first major injury occurred on the back of what I thought was his best season at Chelsea. And it was downhill from there.
  11. Nope. Yaya scores more goals but he's nowhere near the total package Essien was at central midfield. Yaya's best performances pretty much come as a #10 behind a striker with little defensive responsibilities like the way Fellaini now plays for Everton. If you're talking Central midfield, box-to-box Essien takes it comfortably. Yay's a bgf powerful lad but his game is played at a slower tempo than Essien and Essien has a far better engine and work rate. Yaya's almost lazy at CM, definitely in comparison to Essien. Yaya's tactical discipline and positioning has always been poor. He's a player that you have to accommodate in order to enjoy his strengths; you didn't need to do that with Essien. Essien's decline has been pretty tragic, and he cuts a rather poor figure playing fullback at Real Madrid, but I agree that in his prime he was the most complete midfielder there was.
  12. He wasn't, it was a rumor. To be honest I wouldn't have called him up given the system Del Bosque uses; he isn't good/creative enough in his link up play for our non-striker role...
  13. Torres out of the Spanish squad. Reina (Liverpool) Víctor Valdés (Barcelona) Arbeloa (Real Madrid) Azpilicueta (Chelsea) Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) Piqué (Barcelona) Puyol (Barcelona) Jordi Alba (Barcelona) Monreal (Arsenal) Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid) Busquets (Barcelona) Cesc (Barcelona) Iniesta (Barcelona) Silva (Manchester City) Cazorla (Arsenal) Xavi (Barcelona) Pedro (Barcelona) Isco (Málaga) Mata (Chelsea) Negredo (Sevilla) Villa (Barcelona)
  14. why ? did he try to defend it ? He headed it away yeah... ... to Jordi Alba for a cross
  15. Yesterday we floated a ball at the far post to Busquets and I instantly thought of you.

    Xisco

People in Córdoba forums think he's gonna be shit.
  17. I have had his twitter open all night waiting for the inevitable meltdown. Gonna hit the bed now though.
  18. Brek Shea is literally massive though, maybe that's what they're pointing at. Does he still have stupid hair, by the way?
  19. Any news from the Stekelenburg fracas, by the way? They should have sent a reporter to check on him at the airport
  20. Out of contract in the summer, stupid prices quoted. Exactly... thought Blackpool would have lowered the asking price to at least get something. I've wondered the same myself, they're nor here nor there in the Championship, so it's not like they need him to fight for anything.
  21. And Michu isn't even a natural striker. They still got Luke Moore though (I know, don't laugh). i really thought moore was going to be very good when he first came through at villa. Thought the same of Delfouneso myself.

  23. Some people with suspiciously broken Spanish are posting in Marca's transfer chat saying that Xisco will be "very good for Córdoba".
  24. I'm on stitches here man, we should have more transfer windows just for this craic
