I really need to watch this now, it sounds amazing From the wiki, their playing squad looks to have been slain ten times over, with the survivors either plotting to relegate the team or just going postal.
-
Just reading the Wiki for this thing, as I didn't know it... What the f*** was this?
-
The Emirates would go crazy if he manages to score in a home game. Still, from the few NYRB games I have seen this season, he's not really fit for this level anymore.
-
Freddy Adu on trial at Rayo Vallecano.
-
Might be in a shock when he finds out he can't tap up players from other teams, though.
-
Still, not going to please Liverpool fans. He was being asked if signing for Liverpool sated his aspirations and I was expecting the usual "yeah, it's one of the biggest clubs in the world" cliché. Then again, it was an interview for a Spanish newspaper. Regarding the NT, he's not going to get a chance so close to the EC. Del Bosque has made his mind about using Monreal or Alba and Enrique will have to wait until after the EC, when our manager will be more likely to try new players. Personally I think that him and one of Monreal/Alba would be great cover for the position.

Liverpool are a big name in Spain, possibly the most popular PL team around here. To be frank I think we can use somebody of his profile, as an alternative to smaller players like Alba or Monreal. But if he wants to play for Spain, moaning in the press about not being called up (he says he should have been in there in front of Montoya when he got called up) is not going to help him one bit.
-
He sounds really bitter about not being called up for Spain in the original interview. Also says he'd sign for Barça or Madrid without batting an eyelid.

Barcelona press running that Inzaghi has been offered to Espanyol, who are looking for a striker in the winter market. No way that would happen (surely he's too risky/expensive for them), but even if it was to the bitters, I'd love to have Inzaghi in town.

Meh, if he wanted a challenge he could take over a second tier club. It's not like his Chelsea squad was arranged on a shoestring. And Inter were pretty much miles ahead of everybody else when he took over. It's just that he seems unable to settle in a given place, he's probably too volatile for that. Fair enough. I suppose he'll turn up in Marca/AS denying he meant that, anyway. Real Madrid are pretty big on their "nobody ever wants to leave Real Madrid" mentality, and that's been an enjoyable slap to their ego amidst the dullness of the winter break.
-
Think he'll stay at least another year, unless everything goes tits up for some reason.
-
I hate our winter break,I miss La Liga

Most Real Madrid fans I know fuming about Mourinho coming out with this... they somehow were deluded into thinking he would be their manager until the End of Days, despite he always saying that he eventually wanted to go back to the PL... Marca already running a cover claiming that Löw will be his successor.

It's been almost 5 years since I keep hearing that Cech "is not as good as he once was".

We are using the #10 role a lot this season (Messi and Cesc) with that 3-4-3. Özil is deployed as one too, although Mou has hinted at scrapping that role lately, but yeah, it's making a comeback. Depor played with a sweeper last season... watching them was like a time machine, no wonder they got relegated.

Must be hard to resist when Real Madrid come calling, but I'm not sure it was the best thing to do. There was talk that Canales would have been left on loan at Racing for a couple years, which would have been the best, but at the end he moved straight away. It's good that he's moved out of RM so quickly to get playing time, though. Valencia is a great place for him to develop.
-
They're his mates, it's pretty understandable that they wanted to stand by him. Difference being the club had more sense than Liverpool.
-
Man, so sad about Don Balón going under. Legendary magazine. Good picks for Barça. Thiago and Cuenca are our U21s more likely to play a sizable role in the main squad this year. Bojan still on the list, he seems to have been around forever hasn't he? That's probably been his main problem. Too much hype too early. Both Vadillo and Canales should be there, too.
-
Yohan Cabaye made the "20 European players to follow in 2012" list at Marca. (one of the 4 PL players to make that list).
-
Really doubt European clubs would allow it. MLS clubs will probably stop allowing it once the league's reputation grows enough.
-
That's my appreciation, too. His shooting in particular is often hilarious.
-
Fulham They are always dead last in that list.

What I wonder is how will their American owners take this issue, given how much more sensitive American society is to these kind of issues. Imagine an NFL team pulling the same stunt.

That tweet is actually prosecutable under Spanish law (we have had a few cases of people being arrested because of threats done through the internet), which is a good thing imho. I hate people using the "shield" of internet to say things that would land them either in jail or with a bloody nose if done in public. Is it possible in the UK?
