  1. Like I said before, if I was an ambitious young footballer with a few braincells I wouldn't want to stick around these gambling idiots. Enrique probably does love the club and the fans to bits but he has to think firstly about himself and his career and fair play to him whatever he chooses. of course you would if you thought it was your best option. do you think he came here in the first place cos he loved the club and fans ? No, why would I think that? Don't understand what you are getting at. it was in response in particular to your first sentence quoted, thats why you would stick around, if we were the best option even if we didn't have "these gambling idiots". It would certainly make a huge difference to me if I loved the club and the area yes. and that works for how many professional footballers ? Sometimes people need to step back and think what they would do if it was a job other than football. Pretty sure a lot of people in this board have moved from Newcastle (or whatever place they're from) to get better/more paid career opportunities.
  2. You're betting on potential here. 12 months ago he looked like the next big thing but he has stagnated a bit and has had a bad season so far (admittedly the whole team is underperforming). He's your classic "dribble until kingdom come" Argentine winger, but he really has amazing first touch and close control, but needs to mature and release the ball sooner. How much do you think Sevilla would want for him? They'd try to fleece you, they drive a hard bargain. BUT after not qualifying for the CL this season and in danger of not doing it again this one, they'll need the cash. As for what amount of money... given some recent sales and current form of the player I'd say €12m-€15m, their asking price this past summer was reportedly €20m-€30m
  3. Zaragoza game will be moved up to Saturday, most probably. Schedules aren't final until 2 weeks IIRC.

  5. Say "hola", as they are apparently checking this forum to see if the rumor is true
  6. Well, half of what we got paid for Touré. He just isn't good enough on the ball and picks up way too many cards in La Liga. Admittedly would have been a good sub yesterday though.
  7. Real Madrid? Not that I wouldn't get a heart attack if they won the CL, mind.
  8. Fair enough, would probably wish the same if I was a neutral.
  9. Maybe they should play burquest at the back. He is already an auxiliary centre half as he is. Pep has rehearsed that already. He's not a good enough tackler to play there imho.
  10. Too busy blaming the ref. I'll tell you in a couple weeks. The team is going through a bad fitness patch right now, but after the Copa ties of the last two months are put behind we should be able to regain some strength. I share your fears regarding our defence, but honestly if we perform at our level we should win this tie.
  11. Dunno, Walcott looked ineffectual to me and gave the ball away a lot. Arsenal raised their game when he was taken off.
  12. Still open, and despite the Juve loss you are carrying the momentum and Milan aren't looking as strong as they did in 2010. Napoli might nick it, would be grand.
  13. Could go to jail soon for discharging a firearm outside a Portuguese disco.
  14. Chygrynsky had to cut his wages to come to Barça, they have ridiculous money
  15. thought he looked a very good prospec t in his time here but not ready for premier league football and not sure he'd make the step up quickly. drenthe could be worth a look. seems to have turned it round a bit in my limited viewings of hercules. Yes, but he has behaved like a spoilt unprofessional cunt for them. Missing training, trying to engineer a move to Juve, etc...
  16. To be honest, we only lost because we tired and lost control of the game. Not disrespecting Arsenal since they went for it and put us to the sword, fitness and energy are part of this game too. Walcott was s***, Wilshere was immense.
  17. Spurs prices, a Barça's most expensive ST isn't even €1000
  18. Strikers will always cost more than full-backs. One year left under contract too.
  19. Interesting, the Marca journo that wrote that article seems to tweet fairly often about José. I'll follow him.
  20. On another forum today, someone said that it had been mentioned in the Spanish press that he was going to Liverpool and that he would be in the next Spanish squad. They didn't say which newspaper it had been mentioned in. I'll search the usual suspects. EDIT: Found it. Today in Marca. They claim Del Bosque considered calling him against Colombia and might feature soon. The same article claims that he was named MoM against Brum. Wasn't it Bentley?

  22. How much is he on right now? I think the Spain callup is weighing heavily here. Going to Villa wouldn't help, but if he goes to Liverpool he'll be on Marca's homepage every weekend.
  23. If it's José Ángel, he's very promising but dunno if it's too early for him to move abroad. Hasn't had a full season as first choice yet.
  24. Woodgate's fitness is unnatural. Pretty sure I could injury him just by giving him a stern look.
