  1. I think that's not his real name actually. EDIT: Wikipedia answers He just adapted it to sound more western I guess.
  2. Hope Avram Grant lines up all the U18s just to fuck them over
  3. Adebayor is the fan favorite for being Real Madrid's next signing, according to a poll by Marca
  4. poor VI. Skirge is having an effect on him. I have a fkn effect on you all and you know it
  5. It's a friendly though, doesn't tie him up to Nigeria IIRC.
  6. Fkn hell, can't wait to hear what Baba thinks of this
  7. Heard that Tim Cahil guy was pretty good. That's why I didn't mention him, he actually still plays at a high level and gets in the team on merit instead of coasting on name and past achievements.
  8. Yeah, he looks so lethargic nowadays, and that was the only thing he had going for him as a player.
  9. I love watching Australia play, I only need to imagine Viduka is still there and it's like I'm 25 again. Aren't there any other footballers in that place than Schwarzer, Emerton, Kewell and Culina?
  10. To be fair, 99% of all teams on Earth would look woeful to you. I'm having fun Hehe, don't expect a tiki-taka display every time I tune in a game, but the possessions are very short and you don't see many things coming out from the players. Australia are very slow and scrappy and seem to have dragged Korea - which I remember as a spirited side - down to their level.
  11. Why do I giggle every time I see a Korean named "dong". Am I racist?
  12. Both sides are rather woeful tbf. Very scrappy game.
  13. Yah, missed it while I was fixing lunch. Now that I see the repeat it was pretty awful defending by Australia, he was lone in the box.
  14. Think I'll tune in, should be the most decent game so far in this thing.
  15. We played the Real Madrid supporters club about six months ago. We lost something like 17-1 f***ing hell, was Cronaldo spending his holidays in Korea? Well, multitude of factors. They're pretty close to an actual amateur football club in that they have regular practice sessions etc. We're just a bunch of lads who get together for a kickabout once a month or so. Also they draw from a pool of members that's several times larger than ours. You can imagine how there would be quite a bit more Real Madrid fans than Newcastle fans in this country. What are the biggest foreign clubs in there? The only Korean football fans I met are all Manchester United fans. Man United is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else for obvious reasons. Basically most Koreans with a passing interest in European football are Man United "fans." After that it's probably Liverpool, Arsenal, Real, Milan, Inter, and Juventus. Chelsea isn't popular at all for some reason and Barca is surprisingly underappreciated. Newcastle is probably the fourth most popular Premiership club, shockingly enough Yeah I know, our board has been laboring to increase our profile there, hence our friendlies this summer. These Qatar Foundation shirts and Messi spread posters need to be moved...

  17. From SSN... Chelsea? "Major European club"? He isn't that good, I'd say Everton are his level.
  18. With the Ben Arfa transfer so far you've outspent Real Madrid, Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Chelsea and Arsenal. How does it feel?
  19. Wheres he play? Remember the name but cant think of his position. Started as a striker, but nowadays he's deployed as attacking midfielder across both sides and in the hole. Have seen him play in the Xavi role in our B team, even, but that's not his best position. He scored against Kazan earlier this season. Messi used to say he was better than him, which is obviously not true but there was a talent in there and hopefully somebody will give him a chance in the top flight.
  20. Víctor Vázquez looks set to leave Barça to try his luck, and apparently is keen on playing abroad and Blackburn have been linked to him. He was in the same team that Messi, Cesc and Piqué, and at the time he was higher rated than them all but a knee injury curtailed his development. He's been healthy for quite some time now, and ends contract at the end of this season.
  21. A motivated Benzema is great. I have seen glimpses of that player with a Real Madrid shirt and I would prefer that doesn't happen too often. The guy needs to be baby-sitted, his mental strength is obviously low.

  23. Made up tabloid filler, Mourinho has complained too much of his striker squad depth to give one away, as underwhelming as he's been so far.
  24. Real Madrid top, hope they put 5 past him too
