Maradona seems to only watch youtube videos in order to make his selection and tactics. I watched the Argentina - Brasil game on a repeat and apparently they just gave the ball to Messi expecting him to dribble the entire Brazil defence like he does once or twice a season against shit defences of crap Spanish teams. He (and other Argentinian attacking players) were completely isolated and gave the ball every time.

Aye, I remember when Raúl scored a winner at Camp Nou and he made a "now you shut up" sign towards us. I was screaming the most unsavoury things about his mother I could think about, but in retrospect it was a boss thing to do for him. Football is built from stuff like this too!

We had some truely awful years after that, though, with a useless chairman running us in debt with overhyped players at inflated prices, and dropping from the CL for the first time since it was created (costed us dearly).

This kind of taunting celebrations are not that rare, and this is the first time I see people asking for a player's head. And they are great if you ask me, football thrives in rivalry. The last time I remember a player getting done in Spain was when Giovanni showed Real fans the finger after scoring at Bernabéu 10 years ago... And although that was a tad over the line (and yet Real fans didn't stampede or do anything other than scream at him), he is forgiven in my eyes (We have had Madrid players doing taunting celebrations in Camp Nou too!)

5 English players is nothing for any club. The squad size could be another thing... we have that in Spain but we cheat it a lot with youngsters registered for our feeder teams that are allowed to line up with the main squad (Jeffren for example played this weekend for Barça and is registered as a Barça Atlètic player).

Every UEFA game is filmed, isn't it? They should seriously start dishing out bans for incidences that weren't caught by the refs, it's not like they don't make a pretty penny out of the whole circus. The whole "if the ref doesn't see it you get away with it" mentality is just wrong and encourages cheating.

Did Asprilla ever perform at domestic level with his clubs? I get the impression that he created his career with his continental heroics. I felt gutted after that game, btw, GUTTED.

I see... Mou was using Motta as creative midfielder? The problem with us is that he wasn't quick enough (of mind) to work as creative midfielder, and he was too bad a tackler to work as a ball-winner (he got so many stupid sending offs that I was foaming at the mouth). So while he was a decent all-around player, he wasn't excellent at anything. He seemed to don't give a toss in his last years, too, but moving clubs can help on that.
