Sometimes the virgins fuck each other so they're not virgins anymore. -
By make NUFC great again you mean 'Couple of seasons of getting back up to speed, at best sneaking a European place and potentially winning.........a cup'.

Basically this. I cannot blame Emery for not playing him, he has a ridiculous pool of attacking players to choose from. This is a completely different situation than he's ever been in though, and probably the first time since he was a bairn that he isn't head and shoulders the best player in the squad. There's absolutely no excuse for Pardew or Bruce not picking him and it pains me to read people looking back in hindsight now and acting as if there was any justification what-so-ever This isn't a hindsight thing. Pardew's treatment of him was shite at the time and he should have tried harder to find a way to make it work. What he never was was some beacon of light fighting against the evil force of Pardew, as was the general consensus on here. My views on Ben Arfa have never had anything to do with Pardew. He has all the talent in the world but lacks the professionalism to cut it at the highest level, as we're seeing now. Bloody NO, hounding our your English PFM hero. Do you never tire of this sort of patter?

I'm absolutely dumbfounded that fans would be happy to accept crumbs from the table (that was a Keegan expression btw, for a team that dared to take a point from us in the old second division) when we are finally showing some belated signs of ambition. Winning a cup was a cop out for Ashley to aim low as possible and hope for the best. A cop out for Ashley? He hasn't given a fuck about the cups in a decade.

This is the point really, it's like they thought they were signing James Milner. Either you want to tolerate his messing about or you don't, but if you don't then don't buy him. Partly HBA's fault as well since he must (or should) have talked to the manager before signing. Should have talked to the manager and said, 'Here, you mind if I turn up 3 clem overweight and couldn't give a fuck?' Got an understanding of what was expected of him. Their are loads of examples, Ferguson allowing Cantona to do whatever he likes springs to mind. Either way it was a risky move if he didn't have a complete understanding of Emery, and it hasn't paid off. Emery probably had nowt to do with the signing tbh. I'm sorry like but it's all Ben Arfa's doing now. It's been Pardew's fault, it's been Bruce's fault, it's been Deschamps fault. There's only one common denominator.

Not even worthy of a question tbh.

This is what always pissed me off with the lad to a certain extent. Hate seeing a waste of the talent we're all desperate to have as a bairn. On the flipside if he gave a shit he would never have played for us
-
Professional football managers tend to give a shit unfortunately.
-
It's affected him for 90% of his career tbh. Always been a shadow of the player he could have been.
-
Pardew's got a hex on him marra.
-
Sunderland fans to this day talk about their bag of shit 2nd division team winning the FA Cup, and rightly so.
-
This implies you'll be telling the grandkids about being in the Premier League?
-
Rafa wouldn't have anything to do with that like, and for good reason.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United - 24/09/2016 @ 17:30 - Live on Sky

The dull existence of the Brummie is only cheered by lapping up the misery of other, happier races. Don't want to be surrounded by the freaks after another failure on Saturday like. -
It would put us in a position to win 'multiple cups in the near future' at all tbf. We'd be a newly promoted club, with a quality manager, still absolutely light years behind the big 6 teams in the country. Unless by near future you mean century. This is before factoring in that we are NUFC, and an unmitigated disaster is always around the corner. Feel as if I'm arguing against promotion here I know we'll be promoted and it will be great. The original debate is between Promotion or Cup Win, not both. We'd all love both. But in the short term, with a view towards the long term, promotion is more important this season than a cup win. Fair enough. I've had a whole life of long term, happy to see what short term is like. All hypothetical, obviously.

He's a quality WUM. Have a soft spot for the massive charver but the shite he comes out with about Shearer is beyond embarrassing.

League Cup 4th Round - Preston (h), to be played Tuesday 25th October

Well this is interesting, could be waltzing into a QF (safety anti-jinx parentheses). -
Football should be about winning trophies (not the Championship). Being able to get thumped of Sky's big boys wouldn't bring as much joy as a cup win. Aye but it isn't. There are different trophies with different levels of gravitas. And winning the league cup as a Championship team is just pointless. There's no pride in winning a tournament in which half the teams barely even try. It'd be slightly different with the FA Cup, but the bigger teams still don't really give a shit until later rounds. Just seems really pointless being the shitty club that fluked a cup. I want to win trophies because we're the fucking best, not because no-one else could be arsed. Of course there'd be pride in winning a tournament. Sunderland are still massively proud of 73, as we are of 55, as Wigan will be in 50 years of the Ben Watson episode. In 10 years time I would much rather look back on being at Wembley for a cup win than middling about in the 'best league in the world'. Take your point about Birmingham, its probably not worth it for the league cup.The FA Cup though definitely. Tbf this shouldn't be answered with Rafa in mind, we could easily go up and watch him fuck off.

Their team was beyond vile last year and we still couldn't beat them. Nothing can be taken for granted with us. -
The love for Jose will grow stronger if he fucks off Rooney like.
