Hope people aren't getting their hopes built up to be left disappointed. Ultimately the Premier League don't want the PIF to take over NUFC, for reasons we are all now aware of and the facts are it's their league and they decide on the runners and the riders. That's why it never went through in the first place.

Best of luck Greg. A successful, well coordinated Trust is in the best interests of every NUFC fan.

It's true. He admitted he didn't like football. It was simply a job to him.
-
Scrap Internationals. Nobody really cares about them anyway.
-
Don't blame him one bit. Why would any flair player want to play for Steve Bruce when his teams hardly have the ball? He's already nullified ASMs threat by totally changing his position and role in the team. He's absolutely clueless.

Agree with this. Every game is basically must win for both the Old Firm, they can't afford any slip ups really. I'm no lover of either as I've always followed Aberdeen but when you also look at Rangers performances in Europe under Gerrard they've been outstanding. Hopefully Aberdeen can put a dent in their title ambitions on Sunday.

He's a Yes man though and that's always been an important trait to have if you want to be England manager. He wasn't given the job based on the incredible job he'd done as a manager previous.

I don't, that's how he makes his money. Just a big coincidence that all this happens and he's already got Amazon Prime on board for a documentary about it. He’s not too bad a bloke , and heart is in the right places although a massive self promoter and wants the publicity really Met him once in the Walls End pub when he was doing a talk in with John Beresford and Steve Howey. Had a bit crack with him afterwards, mainly bitching about Mike Ashley, and found him a really decent bloke, which surprised me as that's not always how he comes across on Social Media.

Pretty much this. If there's the chance of an earner Wraith will be all over it.

Keep up the great work Greg[/member] and NUST And ignore the haters, fucking idiots! People have the right to question the Trust in the correct way without you labelling them as idiots, especially considering it's a straight toss up between you and Samptime for the boards biggest idiot of the year, his constant, pathetic defence of Bruce and you pretending to be some sort of ITK, telling all and sundry the takeover was 100% going ahead for months on end. My personal view on the Trust, as a former member is that they tend to make loads of noise and bluster when an opportunity arises to really get the fans charged up about something. Last year it was Rafa leaving. They bombarded twitter with a huge recruitment drive, added a few thousand extra members then went very quiet. Repeat this year with the takeover talk. Loads of noise in the spring time, another big recruitment drive, then quiet again. They’ve done some good things, no doubt. Getting those lads off the charges for the carry on at Southampton was admirable but as the biggest football supporters Trust in the UK (?) they don't pull their weight enough on other pressing issues and they go too quiet for too long at times. Their questioning of Masters was weak and didn't really put him under any scrutiny when everyone knew he was up to no good, obviously moreso since then with the current big 6 of the 2 Manchester teams, 3 major London teams and Liverpool wanting a control of English football his motives are apparent. As for the money in their bank account. I remember a lot of noise from quite a lot of people to donate a share of it to the Food Bank to help out families who've fallen on hard times this year, rather than sitting in an account earning jack shit in interest but they didn't want to know. Should have been put to a vote amongst it's members imo, it's their money after all really. Anyway ultimately we all want the same thing so I hope they can be a success in the name of NUFC, but I'll admit, based on what I've seen so far, I am sceptical. I'll not post about them anymore on this thread as the NUST have their own thread on hear so this conversation should really be on there. You’re one of he biggest numpties on here man I've got an awful long way to go before I can even get close to your level of cringe lad. You’re a boring poster and a numpty man. And I’d tell you to your face as long as it’s 3.00pm on a Friday afternoon, any Friday. Hahaha grow up man you daft little fantasist

Can't remember any real links with Flowers (could be wrong) but we were definitely strongly linked with Colin Hendry. He would have been a massive signing for us.

Martyn was at least as good as Flowers like. Certainly won far more England caps. Seaman would have made a huge difference and would have won us the league imo.

Think they had their chance to really make their mark when they were given the opportunity to grill Masters but I think most people were left a bit disappointed by the outcome there. Tbf NUFC were always legally obliged to refund season ticket holders anyway and the Premier League PPV was doomed to failure before it got going due to the amount of objections to it right across the country. Good luck to them but it's not something I'd consider signing up to again.
-
The goalkeeper was a surprise!
-
I think they'd be quite happy to be the next Leicester City. Similar sized clubs (traditionally Derby probably slightly bigger) from the same part of the country. They've certainly got a good starting point with the stadium and decent sized fanbase. They'll look at what the likes of Leicester, Wolves and possibly Southampton are doing and think that there's no reason they can't be doing similar in a few years time.

Despite every game being live on TV I've watched us only once this season. It's too draining, and frankly watching a football match when only one team is trying to play football isn't really my cup of tea. I voted Souness as our worst manager in the other thread purely because he took over a really good side and ruined it but this waste of space runs him close. If every football team played the game the same way as he likes to, football wouldn't even be in the top 10 most popular sports.
-
The least of our problems.
-
Definitely Souness.

The Teesside teams in the Northern League such as Guisborough, Billingham etc are allowed 300 but the Tyneside clubs are only allowed 150. Heaton Stan pushing to get it increased and they have the support of all the other NL clubs in the Tyneside area.
