And the fans advisory board. That American lass who used to support Man Utd but switched over to us in October 2021 needs to have a say.
-
Even if that decision was to build a new stadium at Gosforth Park or out towards the airport? Nah not for me like.
-
Did t senior figures at the club not tell supporters a few month ago how much more revenue could be achieved with a new stadium at that fan event at the Stack? It was a massive game changer.

Put simply there just isn't the space at the current SJP for all the extra corporate, boxes etc. Look at the footprint of our ground and then compare to Spurs or Arsenal and see what I mean. We just don't have the room. We're currently paying Fenwicks and Hadrians Tower to host a lot of our corporate supporters. End of the day it depends what people want. If you're happy to give the really best performing clubs in the Country a £200m headstart every season as a trade in for remaining at SJP then that's fair enough, there's plenty in that boat I guess. If you're wanting to explore what could well be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see how big this club can get, to have us up there with the very best in the Country from a financial perspective, and to give us the very best opportunity to not only get right up there, but stay there, then the trade off would be leaving SJP. If it was a hop over to Leazes Park or Castle Leazes I personally can't see the issue there. Ultimately it's a plot of land, the actual structure perched on it resembles nothing like it did when I started going there back in 1984. If the trade off was to an out of town location I'd suggest it's an entirely different conversation altogether, and not one people would be on board with. My opinion is that the happy medium is the one I'd be most behind. Ultimately I just want the club to be the best it can possibly be, and not hamstrung in any way shape or form.

It's just your generic out of town retail park, the likes of what have been popping up all over the Country these past 25 years or so. I live 5 minutes drive away, and it serves a purpose at times although I'm far from a regular visitor. Couldn't think of a worse place to build a stadium, nor do I see where there's room to put a 70k ground there anyway.

I'm yet to speak to a Newcastle fan who thinks that moving to somewhere like the Silverlink would be a good idea mind

Tbf Bromley have always been a Non League team up until this season. Even in League 2 they'll be used to playing in small ramshackle type grounds. Whether it was SJP, Old Trafford, Emirates, or Tottenham stadium, they would have been blown away as it's a world away from what they're used to.
-
They'll never be able to enjoy their own club as long as we are doing well. It's always been NUFC first and their own team 2nd. Their crowd on Saturday was no great surprise. They've been struggling to pull in a crowd for league games, often over egging the actual attendance by some 10/15k people, occasionally more, despite being in the Promotion frame all.season. Whilst we are flying they've got absolutely nothing, and it shows.

Yeah but lots of South Tyneside is closer to Sunderland than it is Newcastle, and the biggest town, South Shields is definitely nearer to Sunderland so, a bit like them, that doesn’t really wash.
-
I know for a 100% fact that they've been pestering Valley Gardens Middle School in Whitley Bay these past few months offering free tickets because 2 of my mates kids go there and have had the email about it.
-
On the flip side my ticket for the League Cup Semi Final was 20 quid and the bairns was only a tenner.
-
Aye it was shite. I was one of the lucky ones who had a ST but most of my school mates, who'd I'd stood with in the very late 80s up until the end of the 90/91 season before I got my season ticket, couldn't get in anymore. We're now in a position where every single match is massively over subscribed. Wimbledon at home in the League Cup, oversubscribed, Bromley in the FA Cup, oversubscribed. When both those clubs returned some of their allocation the extra tickets were snapped up instantly. I actually agree that we could fill an extra 28k seats for the vast majority of games taking things as they are. As I said above it would also make the membership more worthwhile for people. In fact they could probably increase the price of it a bit as people would be buying it knowing they've got decent access to tickets instead of the 1 in 4 chance or whatever the average seems to be now is.
-
That's another reason why SJP is hopelessly too small and outdated now. We need 20k more seats. It would still be jam packed every week but that would probably give another 15k fans a chance to get in (assuming 25% of any capacity increase would be corporate) and make the membership far more attractive and not the complete waste of money that it's turned out to be for a lot of fans who are still sat on zero ballot successes. One of the remits that the new owners promised was that they wanted to further increase the size of the already huge fanbase. Clearly they're well on their way to doing that but the current SJP really stifles things in that regard.

Dyche leaves Everton.

Have to be honest I've never heard of him so I'll have to take your word for that. If he's even half decent he'll be a difference maker for them as the Championship is absolute dog shit this season.

It's sold out but you'll be able to get any that appear on resale. -
They played Arsenal at tbe Emirates a couple of seasons ago in the League Cup. Tbf Arsenal only played their kids that night, unlike yesterday so only beat them 5-1.
-
Thickest man on the Internet is Keith bless him.
-
Absolutely immense. What a season he's having!
-
Totally agree. It's down to the people who are in it that make the main difference. People moaning about Spurs stadium mustn't have visited White Hart Lane many times because on the half dozen or so occasions I visited it, the only real atmosphere there was generated by us lot. Arsenal and The Emirates the same. Highbury wasn't nicknamed the "Highbury Library" for nothing.
-
I have no agenda as away games no longer interest me these days. I just think it's unfair issuing supporters with fake tickets that they know nothing about until they try to access the stadium. At least give them some sort of warning so that they can plan accordingly, whether that's an email or phone call the day before. You disagree with that, and that's fine.
-
Yes next week will be interesting. They can't artificially inflate their crowd because they've got to share the money with Stoke City and the FA so it'll be their 1st accurately announced crowd of the season.
-
I was on 158 before I packed it in when Bruce got appointed. Not sure why that's relevant like unless its to boast that you've been to more away games than me, although tbf I went to a fair few before the loyalty points system was in place.
-
You're literally telling people they should get there an hour before KO to guarantee entry further up the page I haven't been away since Rangers last Pre Season. Supporters bus took us to Hamilton pre match and we got parked up outside Ibrox around 30 mins before KO. 8,000 away fans there but entry was a piece of piss. If you think rejecting tickets at the turnstile is a good idea then fair enough, but we'll never agree on that one so I'll just leave it there.
-
You just can't expect the entire away end to rock up an hour before KO in case their ticket gets rejected. It would be absolute carnage. One of the things that allow for easier stadium access is that turnstiles open 90 mins before kick off and people enter in dribs and drabs which picks up in the 30 mins leading up to Kick off.
