They absolutely hate the fact that our support is far more pro active than theirs is. They just sat back and watched their club disappear into obscurity whearas we are fighting for ours and it really sticks in their throats.

From the photos, 7K seems very, very generous! Not like Sunderland to artificially inflate their crowds mind!
-
take the bitterness away and thats a good crowd for such a shitty game tbf, im surprised the got over 1k, its a micky mouse cup for losers. that said i'd go if we drew them in the Northern final Lincoln City got nearly 5000 and they were charging a tenner. 7k is a poor turnout for a first team fixture especially considering they were virtually letting people in for free. If that had been us we wouldn't have heard the last of it!

Lowest ever attendance last night for a first team match at the SoS of 7k despite ticket prices being slashed to £3 adults/£1 kids & OAPS. By the time they've paid the VAT on that they've probably been left with about 9 grand in gate receipts which won't even cover the costs of opening the ground up, let alone pay all the players their appearance bonuses. Must be costing them a fortune.

Even funnier that it's against Fleetwood Town.

Just had a look on Bet365 there to see who's playing tonight and if it's worth bothering with a coupon and these fuckers are playing a Checkatrade Trophy game. Not their reserves/under 21s but their actual first team are playing at home, in a recognised first team fixture against a Championship sides Junior team I mean no wonder they keep feeling the need to mention us. How else can they stay relevant these days.

My mate got us tickets for this yesterday. Should be a canny night.

Bedlington Terriors had their floodlights vandalised last week as well. Shameful really when some of these clubs are literally just surviving.
-
Every away game so far this season has gone on general sale so no membership required.

If truth be told if he hadn't put my ticket up by 25% I would probably have just renewed without giving it much thought. When I went on to the renewal page and seen it had suddenly jumped up to £628 my first thought was that he's taking the piss out of me here and I'm not paying that, which I didn't. Suppose he did me a favour by pushing me to break free. -

Still another 3 years before we have the Sissoko money in full. He's happy to accept installments for players he sells but insists on paying for new players up front. It's just one one the reasons most of our signings are either frees, loans, or in the £5m bracket. -
8 shots on target in their last 3 games and they've scored 7 of them They might play rush keeper in the 3rd Division though. Never been down there before but it would make sense.

Should be down to 9 men according to Radio Newcastle.

Just reading the "on this day" section on NUFC.com and on this day in 2008 we signed Xisco and Nacho Gonzalez after selling James Milner to Aston Villa for £12m The odious fat cunt has been getting away with this for far too long. -
It's the people not willing to protest inside the ground that I don't understand. Tbh this battle is way more important than what happens on the pitch. Whether we survive or go down, in the grand scheme of things it matters not one bit. Rafa won't be here this time next year regardless (unless Ashley is gone) and i'd expect 2 or 3 of our better players won't be far behind him. If people are worried about not getting enough coverage or the media getting bored, a mass demonstration inside SJP to a Worldwide audience would certainly get people taking notice. I know what you mean. I think the season where Keegan left put a lot of people off protesting in the ground. One thing that really got me was during the spurs game I was sitting in the family enclosure as I took my son to his first premier league game. A chant went up of stand up if you hate Ashley and other than me and me son I could only see a couple of people around me standing up. You could see people just putting their heads down or thinking I’m not doing that. For me that pissed me right off and just showed me the problems you would have trying to do a mass protest in the ground. I’m sorry to say we now have a mix of fair weather supporters, supporters who are now just going to meet up with their mates (which is what all my friends do now but will be cancelling when Rafa leaves), the ones that genuinely believe everything is ok. A lot of your hardcore supporters that will protest have given up their season tickets in their own protest. I think there should be protests at the ground and the reason I mention outside is those fans that have cancelled their season ticket in protest can be there plus we will always get some radge kids from Elswick joining in Spot on. I was going to post something similar yesterday. A lot of the hardcore lads, those that did all the European aways, Southampton away on a Wednesday night etc have chucked it in over the last few years. I know loads of people who I would have classed as diehard fans who won't go near SJP these days and they've been replaced with a far more passive type of supporter. People who don't think it's "cool" to protest and that it's disloyal to say anything negative about the club. What hit home for me was West Ham at home, in Carvers last game. We could have went down but regardless there was a mass protest and sit in planned for after the final whistle. In the end about 200 of us stayed back and the other 50k just walked out, totally not interested in any of it. That's our fanbase these days. Give me the likes of Rangers, Liverpool, or even West Ham over that any day.

Nope, it's not broken out, probably buried in the matchday income. There's just no reason we'd make no money from it though- it will either be a fixed payment a volume-based payment or most likely a combination of the two. It's not exactly controversial, anywhere I've ever worked with a canteen has outsourced those operations to a specialist. You see, there's a reason I'm making this point. Scunny have just outsourced theirs, for the reason that it was actually costing too much to do internally and was failing badly - I know for a fact that the club are getting very little money from the arrangement; it's just a removal of something they have to think about for matchdays. Mental to think they can't make a profit when charging £5 a pint, £5 for a crappy little beefburger, £4 for a pie and £2.50 for a bottle of Coke to a 52k captive audience. I'm sure when the England Rugby team played at SJP a couple of years ago they took over 500k in beer sales alone. -

Shame the club makes no money from food and drink then. You think the club hand the catering contract over to Sodexo Prestige for free? -
Sick of talking about the refs already and we're only 4 games in. Clear as day why England didn't have a single official represented at the World Cup.
