  1. No bother mate. I'm going to buy as many as they will allow me to because there's a couple of lads travelling with me who won't have tickets plus there'll be 1000s more so no problems getting rid of them. Just logged in there and they aren't on sale yet. Checked a few weeks back when they played PSV and although it more or less sold out eventually there must have been 10k tickets available when they first went on members sale.
  2. I'm using my dads season ticket to get my Leverkusen ticket. He's a pensioner and I'm not but id imagine all tickets are just one price anyway and as we both have the same name that shouldn't be an issue. Oddly enough me and my son have memberships at Leverkusen We did a Bundesliga weekend a few years ago, watching Leverkusen on the Saturday and Frankfurt on the Sunday and I bought a membership at Leverkusen to pretty much guarantee the tickets (as it turned out there was loads of empty seats) and they've just auto renewed never since and I haven't been arsed to cancel so I'm going to buy as many as my membership allows in the home end as I've got a few mates going over who'll likely be ticketless as we'll only get 1,750 tickets.
  3. That's how I got mine yesterday. Failed in the original ballot and they emailed me on Tuesday to say I could get tickets provided I went on the site and purchased within 24 hours. Got 2 together in the Gallowgate yesterday.
  4. Not quite. I was at that one. It was a 3pm KO on Easter Monday I'm almost certain of it.
  5. I actually don't mind the system as it is. If they could weed out all the bots and touts it would be pretty much as good as you could get. I'm still a big advocate for rewarding members by way of loyalty points and using that system for the bigger games though. Awarding a loyalty point for successfully purchasing a home ticket should be a thing, maybe even grant ST holders 19 points at the start of every season just to keep them "ahead", then award for extra cup games on top of that. They've tweeked the ballot so that if successful you weren't just given a random seat, you can choose and that was an excellentimprovement, and if you fail in the ballot you still have 2 further options in members general sale and resale. The resale in particular has proven very fruitful for me I have to say. Another point is that if you go to the match with a child, as I usually do, applying in Level 7 massively increases your chances of ballot success. Ultimately you're always going to have a large section of disappointed people. Probably got 80k+ trying to get to most games which far surpasses the capacity.
  6. Aye seems like it was sorted today. Logged in and there was loads of "pairs" dotted around for me to pick which I assume was due to me applying for 2 tickets in the ballot. Got 2 in the Gallowgate.
  7. Not sure about that. We successfully host the Rugby League Magic weekend most years with around 65/70k fans visiting, the majority of whom make a weekend of it and there's never been an issue with accommodation, or lack of it to my knowledge. Not sure if there's some UEFA directive though to say a hosting city needs X amount of hotel rooms.
  8. I know quite a few people who couldn't get sorted for Bradford like. With an 80k stadium (Bradford would have been allowed 8k tickets) that would near enough leave sold out. We sold out Wimbledon last year easily at 1 weeks notice with the venue switch. We'd easily sell out every League and CL game and even early round LC games v Lower League opposition wouldn't be far off.
  9. Even worse for them. They're 6-1 down!
  10. Fucking hell marra you've haven't taken Woltemade's humiliation of Ballard last night at all well have you
  11. They're playing Dunston tonight mate. 3-0 down now!
  12. Yet there you are stalking another lads posts without realising the irony here Listen marra, why don't you just piss off back to groomers where you belong. You outed yourself within 10 posts you thick twat.
  13. Meanwhile you've posted 15 times on this forum since you signed up last month (coincidentally when sunderland were doing well) and over half of your posts are on the Mackem thread
  14. Ah cheers mate. Email was sent at 5pm but just seen it 15 mins ago. Assumed by the wording that I could just log in and choose my (non corporate) seat as long as I it before 5pm tomorrow but that seems not to be the case.
  15. Don't think it would effect the likes of Redcar so much but Heaton Stan for example being an hours drive further north and pulling in similar crowds as in the NL days, albeit higher admission costs must be taking a financial hit. Other factors are that a lot of players don't want to travel and would rather stay in the NL. Enforced promotion has helped mind and as a result there's quite a few NE clubs in there now when 5/6 years ago there wouldn't have been any I don't think so if you took promotion you were out on a limb really.
  16. Had a ballot fail for Benfica but received an email today saying a small number of tickets have become available and I've been offered one and have 24 hours to log in and buy. However when I log in there's only corporate showing up. Is there something else that you're supposed to be doing here? I got lucky in the Barcelona ballot but I know something similar happened with returned tickets for that one.
  17. Haha do one man you fucking coward Been rattled to fuck off big Nick and @et tu brute tonight haven't you
  18. Never fails mate. The fewm tonight after Big Nicks goal was funny and it has given them a bit of a reality check, and this is what happens. They were starting to get a little bit cocky, a bit ahead of themselves perhaps, but tonight has shown what happens when genuine class comes up against their cloggers and they didn't like it.
  19. Aye Barnsley going along well this season. Just about as hard a tie as they could have got. Might have fancied York at home to cause an upset but it's a tough ask to go to Oakwell and get a result.
  20. Certainly would appear so. Big Nick taking the piss out of those 2 mackems tonight seems to have pushed one or two over the edge and allowed the mask to slip.
  21. Just having a look there and they are averaging 306 so far this season. That puts them 12th out of 22 in the attendance table. You have Hebburn and Morpeth in the League above averaging 408 and 402 respectively. You'd think if they did go up they'd be pulling similar numbers to them with an increase in home and away supporters as you have the likes of FC United and Hednesford who both average over 1,500 and then Workington and Stockton who pull in 700/800 a game and bring a good away following with them. Got to say I've never understood these towns who have 2 Non League clubs. The likes of Blyth, Billingham, Redcar, Chester le Street. Sure it's challenging enough to attract people to Non League games without having to share your catchment with another team. What you find a lot of the time is that when one of the clubs flourish, the other one struggles.
  22. To tell the truth mate I'd never really thought about it but there could well be something in that. I work a mixture of dayshift and nightshift and I'll often go on at 2 or 3am to have a look and it's usually a very good time to bag a ticket.
  23. I'm not so sure. How much money does he need? Surely if you're getting £125k a week then you go to £250k you can't suddenly think oh I can get that dream car I always wanted or that big posh house, or we can shoot off to the Carribean next summer. Everything he wanted was already comfortably in his reach. He wanted for nothing financially. And his next contract here had he wanted to stay would have pretty much doubled what he was on. I could understand him wanting to move for sporting reasons more. Liverpool are a bigger club. They are serial trophy winners. He has more chance of realising his sporting dreams with them than he has us. That's just the reality. I've no problem with that and for those reasons I would have had no problem at all with him declaring his interest in speaking to them when their interest became apparent. Players move from club to club. That's football. The issue was the way he went about it. We gave him his back chance in England on the back of a pretty poor season at Sociedad when let's face it we hardly had any competition for his signature. We gave him the platform and gave him everything he needed to be arguably the most sought after striker in World football and look at how he repaid us. Went on strike and bad mouthed the bloke that gave him everything. Basically called him a liar just to try to justify his own disgusting actions. He's clearly a cunt of a human being, that much is evident. Makes it even more sweeter that him and his new team look absolutely shite since he signed for them whilst his replacement is banging them in, looks absolute quality and a top bloke as well. Hopefully once Wissa is fit he hits the ground running like big Nick has whilst the rat continues to flounder. That's the perfect scenario now.
  24. I got a Cup Final ticket last season through my membership and when I went on the site to choose my seat there were still quite a few available so plenty of us members managed to get Cup Final tickets. I still say if you really, really want to get in you more than likely will. It requires some serious effort, bizarrely there's a few tickets regularly seem to pop up in the early hours of the morning for example so sometimes going on the site at those times works. Since the ballots started up there's only been 1 match that I've been unable to source a ticket for (Liverpool this season) and had to resort to a 3rd party selling site to get in.
