Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays

Someone else pulled you up that, not me. Just stick to rimming the resident mackem on here. It's the only thing you're half decent at -
Can't remember the last time I seen a worse 45 mins from us. So lethargic and careless with the ball.

You compared someone punching a horse to owning a shit flag yesterday so I'm not sure if "concept" is your strong point -
There's going to be a meltdown about this one from the usual suspects

Corner House was all decked out in blue and white balloons. They even had blue and white balloons making an arch in front of the entrances. Heard about the Felling Cricket ckub as well. Didn't see any Man City flags inside SJP duing the run up to that match however.

Nah mate it just gets tiring. We're 4th iin the League, off to the cup final and rather than embracing it you've got folk moaning cos they don't like the flags, moaning because they don't like the songs, don't like the DJ etc honestly it's just never ending and its all just trivial shite as well. I appreciate its just social media as you don't hear all.this out in the real world but even so. Anyway here's a nice selection of flags to cheer you up.... -

As it happens there was what some people on here would describe as a "dubious" flag on my bus down to Southampton the other week. The lad (maybe 18 or 19) had it hanging from his window all the way down there and I don't think it received a single comment, negative or otherwise. I'd imagine people just saw it for what it was, a NUFC related flag. When you're off to a match, especially an important one, things like flags or who is singing what tends to pale into insignificance. It's certainly not what people are focussing on anyway. -

Thankfully there wasn't any places such as this or twitter, facebook etc when we last made a Final in the 90s which meant no flag police and we all went down there and just had a good time. No crying on about what some stranger was doing. Better times. -

If someone wants to take a flag down to Wembley that's their business, not some knackers off the internet who likely won't even be there anyway, or see it -

If its racist or carries another offensive slogan(s) then clearly it's a problem. Surprised I needed to explain that but there you go. My point is that we have the biggest load of whining fannies in our fanbase these days who are just falling over themsleves to get outraged or embarassed about literally anything and nothing. I just find it bizarre behaviour. I can still remember the days when we didn't give a fuck what others thought of us. Our fanbase was better back then imo. -

Never ceases to amaze me the slightest things that irritate people these days. It's a flag ffs. It doesn't belong to you and you had nothing to do with the manufacture of it so don't let it bother you. As long it it hasn't got a racist or any other gesture that can cause offence, what does it matter? The more flags the better. You can't just expect everyone to sit on their hands from now on in and let Wor Flags do everything, nor would they want to. -
They've become more vocal these past few weeks I've noticed. This can only mean one thing. Their coffers are running dry and they're about to embark on another recruitment campaign.

Same. Just watched it there and was surprised when Hope mentioned about him being an architecht.

Looks fantastic that but I'd love it if the Gallowgate was not only brought up to the same height as the Leazes, but also that it was built as a huge 1 tiered structure. The current Leazes End has a capacity of 19,280 so you'd think a 1 tiered design of the same height could be pushing a 25,000 capacity and if this was also designated as entirely safe standing, same as what Spurs have, it would completely transform the atmosphere as well.

Shouldn't be an issue really. Middlesbrough moved their main camera from their West Stand over to the East a few years ago with no problems re issues with sunlight.
-
We are living in an era where a bottom 6 West Ham are averaging 63k. Of course NUFC are capable of regular 67k crowds. We could do that right now and clearly our fanbase is going to grow considerably in the coming years.
-
Watching it on my phone at work and I keep losing track of where the ball is due to all the rubbish blowing around.
-
I was at Barcelona when they beat us 3-1 and again, thought it was too high up and too far away. You just feel detached from it all I think.
-
Milburn. Block B. It was so bad we abandoned our seats when Bruno got sent off as we knew the gates would be open and watched the remainder of the match from the Gallowgate.
-
We were sat 4 rows from the back of L7 for the Southampton match last week and I hated it. Far too high up and far away from the action. Almost felt like I wasn't even there. If that same seat I had on Tuesday was offered for me to buy as a season ticket I'd knock it back and take my chances match by match. Building any higher should be out of the question.
-
Holds a bit less. As I said they added 1,800 seats to the lower bowl as part of the 2000 expansion which people forget about. Level 7 only holds 14,400 in total I think.
-
They added extra seats to the lower bowl as well during the L7 redevelopment by adding a Level 4 above the Leazes West Corner Level 2 which added an additional 1,800 seats. Doubt they'll do that to any Gallowgate expansion as there's lucrative corporate facilities in Gallowgate West Corner.
-
Assuming it mirrors the Leazes End it would give an additional 6,300 seats as the current L7 leazes corner holds 3,500 and the 5 blocks in Leazes L7 hold 2,800.

So mackem logic now stipulates that they should be awarded the League Cup for a final that they lost but any trophies that NUFC win from now on should have an asterisk next to them
