Exile, Dangernonce and Roker Mackem are the 3 obvious candidates.

Any idea what his RTG username is?

Outsung by Portsmouth at Wembley as well I recall. Their excuse for that one was that they were all hungover for the match after their night at Trafalger Square but the Pompey fans had kept themselves fresh
-
Remember their owner Charlie Methven ripping right into them when it became apparent they were going to have to return 6k tickets through lack of interest, reminiscent of an old chairman of theirs, Tom Cowies rant when he said he wished they had Newcastle's support! Completely outnumbered and outsung by Charlton that day. Not one of the MLFs proudest showings.

He must rue the day he ever set eyes on Niall Quinn mind! Cost him an absolute fortune to prop them up and keep them as a going concern.

Newcastle v Middlesbrough old ticket stubs wanted
Wallsendmag replied to Chris01642's topic in Football
I was at the rearranged one in 2003. Think you beat us if memory serves me right. Used to keep all my old tickets back then from away games so I'll have a look for it when I get the chance. Got a feeling it'll be in the loft. -
Can see it from Battle Hill Drive and the top of the pit heap at the Rising Sun.

98 and 99 Finals was Trafalger Square the night before.
-
Wouldn't have a clue but I'd assume the nearer to the stadium the better, certainly I'd imagine any touts would be where most the traffic is so Wembley Park Tube station or Wembley Way itself.
-
Lucky enough to get tickets for both legs of the Semi but unlikely to get one for the final. I've got a ticket for all our other 4 Wembley appearances in my Lifetime (96, 98, 99, 00) so not sure if I could stomach travelling down this time without one. Tempted just to watch it in my local or see what they plan for SJP or the city centre itself. Would probably pay up to £600 off a tout/ticketing agency but I don't even think that would be enough.

It really wasn't. I can remember when we beat Bolton in the January to go 12 points clear and looked like certs for the title and the place was absolutely dead! Worse than last night. We could raise the noise levels when the bigger teams rocked up here mind. -

92/93 season was the only season I remember when the atmosphere was amazing all the way through. Been hitty missy for the rest of the time tbh but that was the biggest game at SJP in decades last night and the atmosphere was dreadful. One thing about NUFC fans is that for one off big games we could really raise the roof. Looks lile we're losing that ability now. -

It's sad really. If going 2-0 up at home in a League Cup Semi final (3-0 in the tie) can't get people up out their seats making a racket then I'm really not sure what can. Creating an atmosphere pre match ny singing along to the tannoy and then for the last 2 mins when it was already won isn't kuxh good to anyone. -

Agree the atmosphere was abysmal last night. Really disapppinted given the magnitude of the game. We were in Level 7 and nobody was singing at all. The crowd up there were really pissing me off tbh. When Bruno got sent off we legged it out the ground and went into the Gallowgate through one of the open gates and just stood in an aisle as eveyone was stood up by then. That was far better admittedly. Not sure what's happened to the crowd at the moment. Tickets so much in demand but unfortunately getting into the wrong hands, ie people who just want to sit back and be entertained is my guess. -
Loved waving my free scarf in the air tonight mind. Complemented my free flag perfectly

Tbf I was also a regular away traveller and still remember a big number of their fans at the SoL in the corner to our left signing about Bobby Robson being nearly dead and Olivier Bernard being loudly racially abused to know it's not just social media. Also had a song about wishing Steven Taylor dead I think. Just a backwater place full of hatred and bitterness in my experience.
-
As I live in Wallsend and work in Killingworth I have no interaction with Sunderland fans other than those on Social Media. It appears a fair few wished a nasty ACL imjury on Bruno, so as I said, ironic it's happened to their best player.

See post below yours.

Ironic that's happened less than a week after someone on RTG wished the same injury on Bruno. May well have played his last game for Sunderland now.

Been going since 83/84. Actually went from 1991 to 2002 without missing a home game, inc Anglo Italian Cup matches! Support became a bit more patchy under Ashley then I stopped altogether when Bruce came in. If we'd beaten Man Utd that night I'm certain we would have won the league but we still had 10 league games to play after that so this feels more definitive for me.
-
By my reckoning I've attended well over 800 matches at SJP and and this one tonight is without doubt the most important for me. I can't comprehend how big this is and the extreme spectrum of emotions I could be feeling at full time depending on the result.

Feel really bad for them. Sometimes think we should just bank transfer them another £30m over on the sly for the sake of our conscience.
