If they decided to sell us now our market value would be well in excess of £1Bn. In fact given we've sold Isak for £125m and have the Champions League riches this season I wouldn't be surprised if our turnover for this year alone is higher than they bought us for!
-
Club have came out with a statement on X a few minutes ago confirming 103 season tickets have been blocked.

Must admit I'm not really clued up on women's football so how does those numbers compare to what we get and are both us and them in the same league?

Newcastle United vs. Barcelona: 18/09/25 @ 20:00 (TNT Sports)

More than they brought for their last 2 visits here combined. Brought less than 200 on both those occasions. 181 in 2003, and less than that in 1997. Spanish fans don't really travel but even so I think Bilbao will bring a few more than that. -

Agree. 3 clean sheets in 4 games this season. Last thing I'd be doing is mucking about with the defence just now. -
And it would be on a far greater scale as well. We're hardly going to build a brand new 52k seater stadium like they have to replace our current 52k seater stadium. It would likely have 20k more seats.

You taking that bet and putting your money where your mouth is or are you all hot air?

Fancy a wager on that?

Very poor yesterday and his confidence looks shot to shit as well which doesn't help. He's an impact sub really, always has been for us. Shouldn't be starting games.
-
Was a strange one. No doubt he's one of the best strikers we've ever had but the crowd never really warmed to him. No chants, not proper ones that reverberate around the ground anyway. He was class but you never really felt the crowd were right with him like with Cole, Shearer, Ferdinand etc. When Woltemade scored today it felt different. A full stadium right with him and tbf he reacted to that. I never got that with Isak. He never got the full ground behind him. Maybe he knew. Maybe we knew. Anyway hope he goes on to have a shit career at Liverpool and his replacement does more of what he did today. Then we'll all be happy.

Well done on their 0-0 win today. Keep it up and they could well be joining us in the Champions League next season.

You'd like to think not but things have happened this week that, of it ever came out that this had happened people wouldn't exactly be shocked! Obviously I have my own personal experience now but this Dundee carry on raised a lot more questions. I mean I can say we can safely rule out the fact that 45 ST holders, who all sit in a block together have got their heads together and decided to tout their tickets to a Private school 200 miles away for a tidy profit. With us more or less being able to rule that out then who did supply them with these tickets at hugely marked up prices? One thing that we all know without any doubt whatsoever is that the root supplier of every single ticket inside that stadium is Newcastle United Football Club so what was the chain of events that led these 45 seats from the club to a private school in Dundee and hugely inflated prices? Fair enough the club have cancelled these seats after a huge backlash but there's still no explanation how this school ended up with these tickets in the first place. I suspect it's a question the club would rather not answer as well.
-
Perhaps but then that's not much consolation to those supporters who were lucky enough to have a Barcelona ticket in their basket only to find out the club wouldn't sell it to them!
-
Agree with all that but then you hear this week that they've suspended god knows how many genuine supporters accounts for the disgraceful crime of using more than 1 device to try to give themselves a better chance of a ticket in general sale. Whole thing just seems a bit off to me.
-
There isn't but I must admit that I was shocked at their response when I gifted them a name and supporter number of an obvious tout account and they replied saying they wouldn't even investigate it. Would have taken them 5 mins to work out it wasn't a genuine supporters account yet they gave me some cock and bull story about them being unable to do anything because the match had been and gone, as if that really has anything to do with it! It does make you wonder.
-
After an extra ticket for tomorrow and noticed they don't even let you click on "buy tickets" now. Just saying "sold out". In the past even when the game was sold out you could still access it, then it was just a case of keeping pressing F5 or refreshing your phone in the hope a ticket would appear.

He had the brass neck to put that behind a pay wall ffs!

End of the day mate it was the only way I was getting in to support my team that night. Failed ballot, failed members sale, nowt on resale, exhausted all my other contacts. Was mission impossible unless going down this route. Was literally the first time in my life I'd genuinely been locked out of a home match! One saving grace was that I was always going to report the account and get the supporter number cancelled so I was really disappointed when they said they'd take no action.
-
Supporters services. The Trust gave me their contact details [email protected]
-
Literally couldn't have made it any easier for them. An open goal if you like. A tap in. A 2 minute check would have confirmed this acvount needed investigating. To get a reply back saying they wouldn't be taking any further action was astonishing and proved what I suspected all along.
-
I've screnshotted the reply I got off them mate. They aren't really interested. They are acting now because of the outcry about these tickets going to a Private school in Dundee.
-
That's what I got back off them. Had the nerve to send a follow up email asking me to share my feedback.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
Wallsendmag replied to joeyt's topic in Football
Still remember years ago being at a lose end one Wednesday afternoon and decideded to have a walk along to watch the U18s play at Little Benton which is just a 5 minute walk away. Leaving the house my next door neighbour was in his front garden and asked where I was off to. Told him where and he said "keep an eye out for a young lad called Elliot Anderson. He's only 16 but he's some player and he's starting to play in the U18s. He used to play with my young 'un. He's unbelievable!" He came on as a sub in the 2nd half and did well, especially considering he was up against lads mainly older than him but even then you'd never believe that 6 or so years later he'd be getting successive MOTM awards for England! Wish we hadn't been forced to sell him although then again maybe he wouldn't have had the same opportunities to develop here as he's had at Forest. Anyway great to see a local lad doing so well. -
Still remember our first season back in the Prem in 93/94. We went down to Goodison in the December, beat them 2-0. Think the crowd was around 25,000 and that's only because they gave us 6k tickets and we sold the lot. They were getting sub 15k crowds for Premier League football around that time against the likes of Southampton.
