Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)
Wallsendmag replied to Disco's topic in Football
Was poor tonight. He'll be back on the bench on Saturday. -
They'll point to tickets "only" being 20 quid for tonight, whilst totally forgetting that they only charge a tenner for cup games and still only get 4 figure crowds (even for Saturday afternoon FA Cup games!).

I said this on here at the start of September. I'd watched a few Championship games involving most of the so called fancied teams amd couldn't believe how poor the standard was. It must be the weakest Championship in many years. There's not one team that's impressed me.

Niall Quinn? He was a well known drink driver.

They are. Nice to have to video context to this story. A group of young mackems decide to attack a Cardiff bus carrying normal supporters just there for the game and not any trouble. After a short while a handful of Cardiff fans get fed up with them and jump off the bus and the mackems drop their arses and complain that they are attacking young kids and that they are the victims. Moral of the story is a simple one. Don't go attacking innocent supporters and not expect them to ultimately retaliate once they become fed up with you even if you are only 15 or 16. It's turned out to be a disastrous weekend for the RTG lot mind. They get battered on and off the pitch whilst NUFC score another 4 away from home and sit 3rd in the Premier League. They must be sick of their lives

Starting shouting for the "bissies" after Cardiff got fed up of them

Agree. Can't see it making great business sense with an initial 4bn outlay. Thinking about it PIF got a cracking deal on us.
-
They've managed to convince themselves that PIF, Staveley, Ghodoussi and the Reubens were behind 9/11 now They're mentally deranged
-
The hypocrisy will go through the roof if they get bought by an oil state.

I've got a couple of good mates at NP. One of them is retured now like at 51 which cant be bad! Anyway they both always said the same, policing a Newcastle match is far more pleasant than doing a Sunderland game. Also the hooligan era is dying away now (proper hooligans I mean not bairns trying to act hard) but back in the day their firm was known as the Seaburn Casuals, however they were known as the Seaburn Casualties amongst Police forces up and down the country as they used to always come off second best

Cardiff never got attacked. It's a few clowns on RTG who come out with this tripe after every away game because for them being "harder" than the away fans is a consolation prize for their team getting beat. As for the booing, it appears it was pretty widespread.
-
They've turned into a proper banter club these past few years like. I predicted the made up stories of Cardiff fans being leathered after the match as we get the same eveey time they lose at home. It's their comfort blanket the absolute weirdos. They've got Tony Mowbray managing them, a group of unknowns playing for them and a partly closed down stadium to play in. I couldn't fully laugh at all this when we had Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce. I can now

Defeat today can only mean one thing. We'll get a thread within an hour detailing how Cardiff fans took an absolute shoeing from the Sunderland youth after the match.

And at Blackburn the other week, and at Bristol City, and Swansea.
-
They haven't even sold out every away end this season and that's in the 2nd tier so I very much doubt that.

Real life is real life though. Your friends, your family, your mates, the bloke in the pub, that's real. You know exactly who you're talking to. Social media you don't really have a clue. You've got Sunderland fans pretending to be Newcastle fans (and vice versa) and people are basically just hiding behind a username.
-
I'd disagree with that tbh. Social media, whether that's Twitter, Facebook, forums or whatever tend to have a high proportion of weirdos! A perfect example is RTG. I can guarantee that your average Sunderland fan isn't like that Real life is real life however. You go in any pub before the match next Wednesday or next Saturday and I guarantee you'd struggle to find anyone unhappy with our owners. As I say I'm yet to have a real life conversation with anyone who isn't happy with our ownership model.

I rate Pope far higher tbh. Just looks all round a far more assured keeper. Dubravka was good, but I was never convinced with him when crosses were getting put into our box. In saying that I'm surprised he's had no game time whatsoever at Man Utd, not even in the Europa League.
