Freddy Adu on trial at AZ Alkmaar Not sure how he got that after flaming out of the Brazilian second division.
-
Of course he'll be exposed defensively a times, but he's a young, converted full-back still learning. It's supposed to happen to allow him to get better, looks like they're doing all they can to help him adjust and get comfortable. After a few seasons with some European coaching I'd hope his positioning and 1v1 game is much better, if not he can always be the next Kyle Walker.
-
Did they? Pretty sure it was mentioned by the commentators and analyst in the studio that he had a poor record.
-
can't believe this
-
Seems like this would only happen to one of our players

Krul!

8 years of that coming up Let's hope he says something sexist during the Women's World Cup.
-
Such a twat I always guessed he was just really committed to ESPN because they help him be relevant still so he'll be as inflammatory as they want. I remember during FourFourTwo's US World Cup preview there was a quote from a former US international who they stressed said really wanted to be anonymous in saying this team is probably the worst one we've ever sent to a World Cup We sent one team of all college kids and one had a indoor players on it ffs. Always assume it was Lalas, seems to think the 94 team was the best to grace the earth.

holy shit

Love a good thigh goal

And even if it's somehow shit, the lasses in football tops thread should be good. Speaking of, just saw a lass in a Colombia shirt while grocery shopping. Way better in real life.

Great save

There's a shit load of good writers around, twitter's probably the best place to find their stuff. Obviously there's Grant Wahl, also Steve Goff, Brian Straus, Jeff Carlisle, Ives Galarcep, Brian Sciaretta and Matthew Tomaszewicz (The Shin Guardian) are my highest recommendations. Just go to their twitter's and follow the links to where they write mostly. Ives site soccerbyives.com is really good. Something about Galarcep bugs me. He can be such a pretentious dick on Twitter. Still a good rec, mind. Great list. Totally know what you mean his site is a good resource though

Doug McIntyre @DougMacESPN 2m Sporting KC receiving “offers from all over the world” for #usmnt D Matt Besler, says club’s owner Bandini said on the guardian podcast (and to me on twitter) that Besler rejected multiple offers from Europe in January. Hope he's changed his mind.

Which I guess makes them calzone worthy

So glad that wasn't missed

You should hook a brother up with some Chicago blart, get me in that way. I don't know what blart is, but I'll work on it.

Any reason? Glabach are a massive club. Huge step up from Hoffenheim. Just wanted a league I get on tv, we don't get Bundesliga until next season. It's definitely a good move though, I was glad to hear it when he signed.

No clue. Cameron's played that role really well before, but I'm not sure it was really necessary. Beckerbro was the main reason Jermaine Jones looked so good suddenly.

Dortmund could have the same kit from three years ago and it would still be class. Fucking hate the money grabbing new shirt every year
-
Yeah Johnson's been our best German-American imo, kind of disappointed he already agreed to go to Gladbach on a free. He's probably better on the wing, or at least has been for the US. Can play left back too, just overall a really useful player and surprised he wasn't more well known before this.
-
He does struggle positionally and in 1v1's against some of the better MLS wingers. Only 20 so I havel little doubt that will improve, his recovery pace negates a lot of that anyway. Think he'll spend at least the rest of the season in Seattle, maybe season and a half and move next summer. Get's some decent coaching and he'll be a very good fullback

We're all getting wasted when everyone gets here

Pretty good for an Australian
