People should calm down. It's not as though the man has gone to MLS or UAE. He's playing for one of the most historically successful clubs in one of the game's most prestigious nations. He's already won the Europa League twice, the Copa Del Rey, the Portuguese league once and is on course to lead his nation to the World Cup. In fact, I'd say he's already achieved more than Alan Shearer.
I need someone to remind me again why all the best players should go to the same clubs.
Five people made the same point, while I was typing this.
I never got this either. We complain enough about players instantly getting linked to big clubs once they hit form, but when one of those players doesn't go to a traditional big club everyone is up in arms. I can see complaining about the nature of the transfers, but I don't really blame Falcao for going there, they'll be in Europe within a year.
Saw loads of people saying the new England kit is a bit like a Germany one, how exactly? It's made by Nike not Adidas and doesn't have any black on it like German kits?
My mate said it looked like a German kit and I said exactly the same back to him. Looks a lot more like a USA kit if anything. I really like it though.
Definitely reminded me of the last US kit. Not horrible for England, but nothing very special.
What an utterly stupid statement, if he would pay attention to other teams on corners it would be very obvious it's essentially all down to "tactics, delivery or whatever."
There was a quote from Garber saying there's still a lot of "activity" going on in terms of Orlando, Miami, Atlanta and a few others, but they want to make sure NYCFC is prepared and ready to launch in 2015. Could mean a few things, really.
