Never been that impressed watching Payet life, but that's only happened a handful of times. Wonder why Lille are willing to sell after only two seasons? Either way, would take any tricky winger at this point.

I'll always like this tournament just for how well we did in South Africa. The run of international tournaments/qualifiers this June has been really nice, actually. Nice break from leagues after that season.

Debuchy against Neymar

I think he's actually a bigger Milan fan than Barca, having grown up in Italy and all that.

I think I'm 0/7 so far trying to get through that video, Brandon Inge numbers

Never thought I would hear an entire bar chant "Bradley Evans" Also some guy looked exactly like fight and win guy, couldn't get over it.

Craig Gordon, the greatest keeper ever? Why has he not found a club?
-
Yeah but he's the worst at being good!!!

Beautiful run. Didn't recognize Wijnaldum without the hair.

We've got none at Toulan (Haidara was supposed to, but he's hurt), and I think two so far at the U20 World Cup. Pretty shameful.

That Milan side was the first I ever got attached to when I started following football. Shevchanko was impossible to defend in WE9. Although at that time Kaka' had emerged and Rui Costa was less relevant, still great though. Jankulovski was a personal favorite.

I switched streams during the celebration and it's suddenly 0-0

Is this competition the reason England doesn't really take the U20 World Cup seriously? There's a few in this England squad eligible for the U20's, seems like a lot more important youth tournament than this.

Kaiz was about to off himself, too
-
He came through their youth system

Search him on Google images and you won't feel sorry anymore.

Sounds like Fabian Johnson is good for Friday, I'd put him. I'm sure Howard will start, too.

Not my time Wouldn't happen currently, at least.

I don't really think money is the reason kids give up the sport as teenagers, fame maybe, but not money. I was in that position when I was younger; pretty good at soccer, but also more interested in other sports. I stuck with it but almost gave it up in high school again, mainly because we'd get about 100 people during an average game to watch, and I was playing at a local elementary school. Meanwhile the football team had a thousand each week even though they were absolutely terrible. Soccer is just not as respected or popular enough here, which definitely pushed me away. Good news is the sports popularity has increased remarkably since 2006, my friends and I can get weekly 11v11 games going all summer, I couldn't dream of getting someone to play soccer with me as a kid. Premier League on NBC next season the World Cup right after will only help, the perception is definitely changing.

We've done well over the past eight years to start playing friendlies against the best countries, but that's about as much as we can do. The real problem is youth development, the country is too large to be able to catch every kid who has promise. There's a countless amount who get missed and end up playing in college, which is not nearly good enough to consistently development European players. The next generation sounds decent enough right now, and this is probably the first season we're seeing young Americans playing important roles with their MLS sides. Getting players into European academies (which we have a few) or getting them in the MLS quickly is our best bet right now.

I've seen better

Well, Castillo did not workout so I'm guessing it's Beasley at leftback for now.
