  1. I remember there was a time when I looked forward to watching Arshavin more than almost anyone. He's really fallen off.
  2. So much pace and Walcott just crosses it right at Barry. That's what happens when you don't even try to lose your man.

    Yohan Cabaye

He's been pretty good at least in every game. It's going to be nice for him and Tiote to return, because Cabaye's only going to get better.
  4. Pretty much his entire time at City.
  5. What an oddly open game this City/Arsenal one is.
  6. "Pass of the season." Great pass, but you can't just claim everything great is best of the season.
  7. He was actually pretty good before he went to Villa. He's pretty much stalled after a one or two loan moves and not much else.
  8. If N-O ever needs a homepage, I think you know who to call. Quality stuff.
  9. I see failing at this once wasn't good enough for them.
  10. He is perhaps my biggest man crush these days. Classy as fuck.
  11. Giving Cabaye a yellow on his first foul was terrible, especially considering the challenges he had let off earlier. But, other than that he was fine.
  12. Not subbing on Ben Arfa is baffling. It was clear the attack was lacking a cutting edge, we controlled play all game and hadn't scored. Clearly something wasn't right, and Ben Arfa coming on could've brought a new dimension on. Subbing Shola for best was doing nothing to change that.
  13. Well, this is nice. I was slightly tentative about him as a player, but not this much.
  14. Interesting. I wasn't aware that was always the case.
  15. 8. Hopefully it gets extended.
  16. :frantic: I loved seeing him in the Prem. Can't wait. http://gifsoup.com/imager.php?id=1772373&t=o
  17. It's true, but there's one thing breaking your leg in a League Game / CL Game... it's another breaking it in a Cup that few people care about. I definitely think the CWC rep is increasing, but it's still pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. Personally, if I was boss of Barca, I wouldn't have even brought my top 10 players, given the amount of sexual fringe players they have. We played most of our "second XI" today: Maxwell, Mascherano, Adriano, Thiago, Keita... I think Pep has managed well his resources, Villa's injury notwithstanding. We want to win this, and it's only one game where we need to go all out. I would love for a MLS team to qualify for it some time by the way, pity there isn't much of a chance given the CONCACAF CL calendar. RSL were in the final last CL season, were unfortunate not to win either. I think there's three MLS teams left going into the knockout stages, so there's a chance. That's one thing I've been looking forward to happening for a while, but only recently do I have feel one of them has a real chance.
  18. Bielsa is one of the most loveable characters in the game. There was some talk of him taking a role with the USSF before Athletic hired him. Would've have been an absolute dream.
  19. I can't believe so many people wrote him off so quickly.
  20. Well, that's unfortunate. Good luck to him.
  21. I think it was a dive, which highlights the point I made above about interpretation. Re: Meireles - I thought Yaya Toure and Kompany were both very lucky to stay on. Obviously the point remains that Clattenberg might have had a poor game, don't think he was any worse for either side though. That's pretty much what it comes down to. He was consistent with both teams, that's good enough for me. Especially considering how shit ref's have been all season.
