Bring him and Keegan back as ambassadors, maybe do the same for the players like Jonas and make them ambassador in their home country or something. In general just be more open to ex-players working with the club like Liverpool are, they don't even need formal roles. Otherwise, if a former player is good enough in their job and proven they can do it like van der Sar at Ajax, then go for it, but not because they're ex-players, because they've proven they can succeed in a recruiting or DoF role.

Where'd you read that? I'd be amazed if that kind of information is public knowledge as no one has any clue (as fas as I am aware) as to where things are in the PL process. I didn't hear anything from the Zoom meeting, but those tweets don't read less confident to me. As we know, it's already been reported that the beIN thing has delayed confirmation, but it's still expected to pass. It's not fun waiting, but nothing has changed since this story first broke a few weeks ago.

I’ve got a load of tins from Beavertown. Their Lupuloid IPA is superb. As is Gamma Ray. I have some Cobras and Asahi in the fridge also. Dusted off the Woodford Reserve to make bourbon sours, as well. Hopefully this goes through for the weekend. What's everyone planning on drinking when this is announced? I don't really hate the #cans thing, but this definitely call for more than just beer. Picked up some really cheap champagne and Lagavulin 8 almost two weeks ago, been waiting for the announcement ever since.

Can't really matter much if everything is agreed and just waiting for approval. Probably just Ashley making sure there's a backup. Either way, sucks nothing with this club can ever be easy

It's so Newcastle United that on the verge of getting rid of Mike Ashley everyone is trying to stop it I doubt the latter matters much, including the fact they say the PL should prevent governments from owning clubs, which is fucking impossible now. I'm mostly just tired of this, just wanted it done with. Can't enjoy one minute of a potentially massive takeover. It's just not worth it at this point
