  1. I was on here last night, and when you were winning the league last year. I'll disappear now as I am clearly not wanted, On the Tiote/Mulumbu issue, time will tell.
  2. Errr you signed Mulumbu the year you went down then made a bid for Tiote this summer so that's not actually possible.... We had been after a holding midfield player since Mowbrays last season when we were looking at both, went for Mulumbu. I'm not slagging off Tiote, I would have been very happy had we signed him, but as I said Mulumbu looks a bit special and I expect him to go to a top six club within a few years. Tchoyi looks decent enough my only gripe with your players is the way you play the system, players like Jara throwing elbows at folk, yet Tchoyi plays like he's on ice.
  3. You had a much better defence last season, never said any different, Tiote as I already said looked very decent, Mulumbu is a real talent, trust me.
  4. Mulumbu plays holding midfield same as Tiote, we looked at both and went for Mulumbu.
  5. Mulumbu has been our best player this season, scored some great goals as well as the holding midfield role, I think you will find he is better!
  6. Enrique 4 - Misplaced passes, got rinsed a few times. Got booked and a few needless shirt tugs resulting in a yellow card. Sol - 3 - Looked past it. Enough said. Tiote - 4 - Dwelled on the ball far too much. Great player but didnt show it today. Had no options to be fair. I agree with the rest. Sol past it? Within the first few minutes I thought Cambell looked well past it and we were in with a very good chance, the last goal said it all, I would be surprised if he gets a 501st game in the Premiership.
  7. How much did you pay for Tchoyi, Osaze, and Mulumbu? All very good signings at what I would surmise were very good prices. Odemwingie was about £2 million, Mulumbu and Tchoyi less than a million, we were after Tiote who looks decent, but I think Mulumbu is better.
  8. You were hardly Brazil and caught us on a particularly bad off day, missing key players. We'll beat you at our place with a couple of players back. Probably will, sometimes you have days like that, we have had one or two.
  9. Well some of your predictions were a bit optomistic (0-6), thought Cambell looked an absolute liability, apart from Carrolls hand ball assist, he did nothing, I'm sure you will be okay though, funny old division this Premiership.

    Shola Ameobi

If you read my posts, I did'nt, stick with your own narrow view of the world, its served you so well!
  11. And Forest. Forest could'nt win away and when they made no January signings, they were never going to win the league.
  12. I agree, but the foundation of last season was set by very sound defence and robust midfield as I already said, by February, pretty much the pressure was off, and the only threat to your title was us. Some on here like to pretend you had some super strike force all season, you did'nt!

    Shola Ameobi

I agree, he's hopeless. I love all this inaccurate stuff on here!
  14. He scored 22 that season. Also, he was far and away your top scorer that season with nobody else getting anywhere near. Ours were spread out between strikers that were rotated. Not a case of you slaggig anyone off, you're just spouting some very innacurate stuff. 24 from 30 starts actually plus cup goals when we got to an FA cup semi final! Whats your knowledge on West Brom's team like without Wikipedia!
  15. If you read my posts you will see that I never denied late season improvement, I remember early season when you were slagging off Ameobi and hoping Best would bring you some goals, I did'nt rate our forwards and we scored one less goal than you, Nolan is a midfield player. I pretty much agree with everything but this fella. First half of the season we weren't as clinical as the second half, but Shola was injured for the large parts of the season. If he had been able to stay injury-free I wouldn't be surprised if he had finished the season as our top scorer. He looks brilliant them first few games in front of goal. Accepted, I stand corrected!
  16. A good strike record in that division is someone like Kevin Phillips who scored 30 goals in our Championship winning season of 2007/8. Blimey, I'm hardly slagging anyone off here, I was originally making a point about relative team strengths and weaknesses and how we have moved on. Tetchy lot ar'nt you, must be nerves!
  17. If you read my posts you will see that I never denied late season improvement, I remember early season when you were slagging off Ameobi and hoping Best would bring you some goals, I did'nt rate our forwards and we scored one less goal than you, Nolan is a midfield player.
  18. Just had a check, you scored one more league than West Brom, by the end of February no Newcastle or West Brom player was in the top seven goalscorers for the Championship, I rest my case!
  19. Erm... I don't get the erm, your success last season was built on strong defence and a robust midfield, not your forward line, Carroll was not the same player and Leon Best was a panicky very average signing at best, we had a weaker defence, a better midfield and a very average forward line as well. Carroll has been excellent for you this season, I doubt many of you thought he would get an England call up last season. I'd say we had better defence and attack but you had a far superior midfield in terms of movement and passing. I'd still not put it past Carson to drop a clanger, but like you say tough one to call. I think your forward line only really started to perform late in the season, hence the panicky Best signing. I do not disagree with your analysis of having a better defence and forward line towards the end of the season, but Nolan was the one who you relied on untill Christmas. We will miss Olsson tomorrow, he is a bit of a character, we may just get one of those lucky penalties that you moaned at last season.
