Don't know how much evil Fat Mike can get but one of these days, karma is going to bite him back so hard, he won't be left with anything to savour. For me, if we don't hear anything from anyone on the part of BZG sometime in the coming weeks, then think this was all a setup. Surely someone can atleast come out and blame Ashley for screwing up the deal?

I still dont understand. If everything was fake why did BZG say they are buying us in the first place? I believe they do want to buy us. What I don't trust is Fat Mike. Somehow, he is going to try and scupper the deal.

If Rafa is gone, and Ashley stays, would like to see what BZG say about it all. They are unlike Stavely, and Kenyon, they have been vocally confident of the deal being complete and all. They would probably be accusing Ashley of moving the goalposts and what not but let us see what they would say.

Is Douglas changing his tune then? From not imminent to imminent perhaps? Does he now know its happening? He has been vocal about doubting this deal all along.

We have Mike Ashley as owner and Lee Charnley managing the operations. Nothing is unthinkable. We do the unthinkable.

I’m not sure it’s done like. He might leave it last minute and sign it, knowing if a takeover doesn’t happen then he’s not tied down long-term, and if it happens, he’ll likely get a new contract anyway if we’re doing well. I think the takeover is the reason they have only given him the offer of a one year contract in the first place. Obviously. 1 year extension suits everyone can easliy be extended as soon as the new owners arrive. Gives Rafa the option of leaving at the end of next season if the new owners don’t arrive. Hopefully he extends a year then decides on longterm next year based on if the new owners come in I'm with you on this one and this has been my opinion of the Rafa situation so far.

I just feel Rafa will stay. I would assume if he had already decided he was going to go, he would have announced it and say he won't renew his contract. There must be a reason for him staying quiet less than 2 weeks away from when his contract is up. Think he cares and is professional enough for the fans and their feelings that he would have said goodbye if he knew he was going.

Ok. Rafa can go off and coach his country now. Would rather him taking that job than him staying under Ashley who is just going to p*ss him off countless times again. No takeover and staying under Ashley would be such a painful ride again.

Everytime it takes time for me to load or refresh this thread after leaving it for a while, I'm like a little boy on Christmas morning hoping for something nice, hoping that there has been a major update on the takeover. Then, when the page does load, the first thing I see is no change to the thread tite and I'm disapointed as when I open that Christmas gift, my dad bought me a Slazenger sleeping bag complete in Sports Direct wrapping paper. Why do some people cling on to hope that Stavely would be part of any bids for us? Why would she and her group be better than BZG? Genuine question. I don't mind any of those two or even anyone else like the Speedy Gonzales group to takeover. But journos, especially Douglas are adamant there is another group and that BZG aren't good for the club for some reason.

What was it before like Mark Douglas latest piece saying it's a million miles away Sorry but some Middle Eastern guy must have shagged Douglas' lass at an after party or something because he has hated the idea we are being bought by BZG since day 1. His piece now is either BZG being so far away from completing the deal or that there is this other party in the race to buy us. He just doesn't want this deal to happen. And he knows fuck all about it.

I don't believe these local journos who are peddling the story that there are other parties that are in the running to buy us. Basically, it's been 4 weeks or maybe nearly a month already since we first learnt about this takeover and BZG going publicly. All along these local journos have been saying there are others also in the race but who and where the f*** are they then? Atleast say who these parties are or what their status are apart from saying 'aye, we're interested to buy NUFC too' but doing f*** all about it. No leaks from these parties either. At least BZG have gone out, identified themselves, gave out statements that no-one is denying, given timelines on how far they are in the whole proess etc. They started the process back in April when nee f***er knew anything about it yet the other parties are somehow interested but no one knows anything more about it. I pointeed out a few weeks back that Douglas was adamant about this other party that he knows nothing about. He seemed like he didn't want this BZG deal to go through as if they had done something to him in the past. The journos were busy digging up the family tree and history of Bin Zayed's family even going as far as to say his grandfather was a murderer etc and he isn't who he says he is yet not one of these journos are digging up about these other interested parties. To me, BZG are the only one legit in buying the club. Ashley, Rafa and the club have been silent throughout the process which is good, rather than go out denying or confirming things like in the past. Fully expected that it would take time like BZG said in the hands of the Premier League and to be fair, they were confident of it getting completed even from their statements. They could have gone public in April saying 'we are intrested to buy NUFC bla bla bla' but they didn't like these allegedly other parties. So for me, they are the only ones who actually know what is going on, the journos can go f*** themselves with their mystery, imaginary other buyers.

8 weeks from 9 August when the transfer window shuts? There's your clue lads. Get out the calendars and starts counting 8 weeks back from that date for the week of the takeover.

I believe you Odin, but can they only announce it when Ashley hands over the keys to them or once all documents have been signed and verified by lawyers?
