It's great that even with our reserve back 5 that we still look so composed and solid. Bilbao had a few sustained bits of pressure and we limited them to pot shots from range. -

Unpopular opinion, but there is something I love about Dummett. His slide tackles are class -

On SurfShark if you use the multi-hop function it seems to work, however not if you just use a static location. -

Hmmm no Darlow in either of the squads, wonder if he's off somewhere. -
"Making a hash" of things is incredibly harsh like, and to be honest not even true, we tried to add quality, they didn't pay off so moved onto other targets. Them targets then massively improved is and where one of the main reasons we stayed up.

156 pages for a pre-season thread with another game still to come is absolutely mental btw -
Remember when we got constantly told there wasn't much money left, and were actually skint by Luke Edwards. Good times that.

Id want Paqueta more then the next person, but Maddison put in slightly better numbers then him last season while playing in the Prem, they'd also probably be at similar price points. Maddison is probably the more prudent buy.
-
How come you're not convinced by Burn? He had one or two brain fade moments last season, but other then that was solid as a rock and had a great relationship with Schar. Given he is likely a backup, for £12m think he's a steal tbh. Targett is perfect for the next 2/3 season, solid enough to be a Europa League fullback, which is where we will be, and always puts in a 7/10 performance. When we want to start challenging for the a Champions League place, will need to be moved to a squad player, but would be a solid and dependable backup at that point.
-
Part of me wonders if the strategy will be to get a base squad with players in the Premier League that actively improve us, and know the league in players like Burn and Targett, obviously Maddison is a cut above them, but you know what I mean, and then when we have a base squad, start dipping into the European market only signing one or two Bruno type players a Window in that £30m to £40m range. Would be a decent strategy to be honest.

Ahh bollocks, it was fun for a few hours then.

He feels that sort of player where you love his shithousery if he plays for you, but is despised by everyone else. A bit like Gordon at Everton, although I think that's more to do with his face
-
Because we've been linked to him over the last few days and he probably knows he'll be inundated with questions about us?

A midfield three of: Bruno. Joelinton. Maddison Is top quality to be honest, could arguably be a Champions League midfield three tbh.
