This West Ham game is being played at an incredible pace.

Is it really worth the mental headspace of trying to think whether our money has any link to that deal? That's a lot of stress for no particular reason Feels like people getting annoyed for no reason and looking for patterns that may or may not be there. This signing may or may not happen, if it does there's no guarantee he hits the ground running. We've strengthen an area were weak in, that's all we really know for definite.
-
Does this strengthen them like? Honest question, I don't really pay attention to RC Lens players. My immediate reaction is that this isn't even linked with our deal given he's a midfielder, and generally not sure why it matters anyway.

The more I think about it the more this signings seems sensible.

From Trippier to Wood is a bit of a come down, I can't lie. That being said, I think its a signing that could end up being pretty astute, he's Premier League proven and in a turgid side at that, he's scored 10+ goals a season pretty constantly, he's always came across as a bit of a bruiser, and we will be his biggest club to date, so will be up for the fight. Its a position we are unbelievably weak in, with next to no backup, and it weakens a fellow relegation rival. We need players in ASAP, and while its not a sexy player, in the position we are in I think he's kind of exactly what we need. £20m is a bit steep, but we needed a striker in before Watford, and we're going to have it.

Would be tempted to play something like the below, I don't really want to be playing Trippier at LB, so could see Ritchie starting as there isn't another option at the minute, and would take a risk on Anderson up front. Dubravka Krafth Lascelles Schar Trippier Shelvey Joelinton Almiron Fraser ASM Gayle/Anderson

That's not how player economics work though, forwards are always a premium so go for more. And as a rule we should just be spunking all our money, and pay over the odds on a player, it sets a bad president.

Here fucking here.

Before his two injuries Dubs was class like, since he's come back he's been pretty poor and is dropping clangers galore.
-
Personally starting to think if the players are phoning it in, and arn't caring due to all the noise in the transfer market. These seem like the bunch that instead of going "I'm going to make myself undroppable, fuck these new guys" they're going "We'll im getting replaced anyway so what do I care".

There was several times he played some really nice short balls that literally none of our other players would even think to make, into areas that we barely ever seem to get to. His corners where better then anything else we have seen, and it was noticeable how vocal he was throughout the game. Easily our best player. Only thing he really did wrong was some daft fouls.

Biggest game in years.
-
Very clear where the problem lies.
-
Thats game was our season in a microcosm, players unable to finish, unable to take a touch, unable to put the ball in the net, and a gifted chance at the other end from our shitty defense. This players are unbelievably hopeless, the lack of quality is actually astounding. Can't even blame Howe for it, as tactically we where fine and dominated the game, players where in the spaces need to be to score a good 4/5 chances, but we where too shite to do anything with it.
-
Our lack of quality in the final third is shocking.
-
Man our passing has been shocking today, even if we could be 3 up, we need a striker in desperately.
-
£1M is too much for him
-
Can see Trippier already dictating the back four.
-
Went with a really strong team too, hopefully fucks there morale even more.
-
Says something that Gayle isn't even on the bench.
-
Looks like Trippier is starting.
