    Hatem Ben Arfa

Top quotage. Love how Hatem has gone from being the one who lacked preseason training most to the fittest man in the team in the space of a week.
  3. Reminds me of a Fergie pic after the 3-0
  4. We've been getting some pretty decent results there in recent times (even in the relegation season) so hope that trend continues.
  5. I'd say so too. The fact that he'd be playing for his hometown team, coupled with his resurgence last season could bode well.
  6. Personally thought they stretched us by playing very wide, leaving loads of space in the middle for their central players to profit.
  7. I'd only say that when we get another signing tbh.

Those two alone will cost way more than half the cost of our first choice eleven ffs.

If I remember correctly, there was a thing here about MoN really not buying much from outside Britain. Seems to be showing with their money moves on domestic footballers.
  11. ---------------Krul Simpson Taylor Coloccini Santon ---Tiote Cabaye Anita/Romain Ben Arfa Jonas ----------------Ba With Tiote, I think we have a chance, as we'd get maximum defensive cover thanks to him, Jonas, and a full-strength defense.
  12. Just glad we now have mini Tiote and Anita to cover Glad that Pards decided to play them for the full 90 minutes less than 48 hours before this match, like. Confident Tiote will play though.
  13. Honestly, the only times I've seen him impress were: - When he was brought on as a sub. - When we play him centrally behind the strikers. I know he's a winger, but for someone with his pace and touch, it's annoying how he can't beat his man at times. I think it's a lack of confidence and determination to get past the hurdles in his way that's been the problem, really. He'd rather dribble his way backwards when blockaded, and it is from this position that he fails to deliver a good cross or he loses out. Because of this, I agree on what people here have been saying about Pards playing him to get his confidence up. However, if it's just the same old story time and time again, surely a change in how to use him would be better? He's not a bad impact sub imo, and he'll be more influential if he has the pace to run past tiring legs. As a second striker, he has the pace and height to worry, and he's got a decent shot. Surely a breather from the wing role and a venture into something that allows him to take people on more efficiently or score more goals would be a better confidence boost.
