  1. Trophies make the world go around Kaka. You wouldn't be saying this if Casemiro was Nigerian. TCD has your number.
  2. I'm not sure how you've come to this conclusion, Casemiro has two trophies and Isak has none. Casemiro scored the opener in the final. Isak did absolutely nothing when he came on. Misguided about a transfer fee? Sure? Egg on my face? Not me son.
  3. He scored an 89th min winner in the FA Cup this year as well. But it's more the money he brought in by getting us into the CL. We wouldn't have done it without him. And yes I judged a striker by his goal return. It was still a huge fee for someone who scored 6 in 32 the year before. Looks like he could be great though.
  4. You'll see me criticise the club plenty. Once again, we were talking about Woodward, through my criticism of him. Using the benefit of hindsight and using posts two years apart about a player is petty point scoring. I mean, I've done it myself, when half the board thought Howe was a poor appointment, but it's still petty. Would I sign Casemiro again for £60m? Lets see what we get for him first before I answer that. That first season was a thing of beauty.
  5. I was delighted with that signing. Utterly bizarre how it turned out. I stand by all of those statements.
  6. Just one of the few times I've been wrong Conjo. The most important thing is being able to admit when you're wrong. It's not a quality everyone has. Thought it was a monster fee for Isak at the time. Like you said though, it's easy to be clever in hindsight, but it's a cheap way to score points.
  7. Beautiful benefit of hindsight isn't though? Everyone on here completely changed their tune about Casemiro once he actually started playing for us. Infact, many posters on here were desperately hoping he'd be injured when we played you. He was extremely important. I'm sure many people expected a drop off, but I never expected one quite so severe. Still, he was arguably the most important player in finishing 3rd and winning a trophy, and if we can recoup a part of that fee, the signing is far from laughable.
  8. Also worth noting that we were talking about Ed Woodward and his transfer policy, and K.I. has taken it upon himself to use Casemiro as an example of me allegedly defending Woodward, who left the club 6 months before Casemiro was signed. Don't forget that narrative though.
  9. Only if you don't look at the dates of the posts. Literally two years apart ffs. That's embarassing.
  10. No I think we should write him off now because he doesn't want to instantly spend £70m on a one season centre back.
  11. That's exactly the way we used to do business. And we were laughed at for it as well. If this was Woodward, it would be like: Woodward: Here's £30m for Branthwaite Everton: We want £70m Woodward: £75m is our final offer Everton: Yeah OK then.
  12. I'm glad you're not a negotiator for anything important. Ratcliffe investing £234m towards debt and infrastructure, revamping the training ground, hiring Berrada/Ashworth/Wilcox/Vivell etc. and working on deals for Ugarte/Branthwaite/Zirkzee/De Ligt simultaneously is anything but disappointing like. Again, knock yourself out.
  13. You can try and act like bidding £50m for someone with one season under their belt is Ashley tactics if you want. Knock yourself out.
  14. I couldn't care less, but those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
  15. Almost like building a team of world class executives is going to improve the running of the club. 2nd bid, and we don't know what Everton will accept. It's likely very different from what is in the media. If it's £70m upfront then it won't be happening.
  16. One of the worst, but Romano is now reporting it's close to 50%.
  17. I know you're not posting this with a straight face when your club is funded by Saudi Arabia.
  18. £27m for Greenwood and a 40% sell on clause. Think that's as good as we could have gotten for him, as he'll certainly go for a large sum in the future.
  19. It's called negotiating. The same thing happened with Gordon. Correct.
  20. It's £45m+5m in add ons. It's what you paid for Gordon a year ago when he was still 21 and IMO more established than what Branthwaite is now. People trying to act like it's a derisory offer need their heads checked, and they wouldn't be saying it if it wasn't us that was putting in the bid.
