  1. Honestly, what has happened to Trent? He's failing at defensive fundamentals that even a 5 year old would understand.
  2. Would take him in a heartbeat, even though he is statistically inferior to Martial.
  3. You're reinforcing my point. He was way too fucking much. You can look at my post history if you want. £60m is what was touted for Maguire and I thought that was already an insane and we ended up paying £80m. He ended up making us better at the back as well for at least a couple of years, but nothing is ever making that fee acceptable. Because he was a 1 in 3 striker. It's no deeper than that. In all seriousness, I think there needs to be more football from both of them before those fees can be justified. Casemiro hasn't justified it yet for me. He's been suspended far too often. His importance to us isn't up for debate but when you spend £60m on a star player you expect him to be available.
  4. Enjoy what? Why are you acting like I'm trying to troll for satisfaction. The facts are: I posted 6-7 months saying the fee was extremely high and that I found it hypocritical that people criticised the Casemiro fee. I also said I thought Isak was a good signing. Fast forward to now I've had my posts quoted and laughed it, to which I've responded. I never brought Man United players into it. Nobody is the one who mentioned Martial and scoffed at his goal record compared to Isak's, which is when I pointed out that Martial actually has better goal contribution stats per 90 than Isak has. That part might be the one people find difficult. If you're going to pull up my posts from 6-7 months ago to try and mock me, don't get your backs up when I retaliate.
  5. On the flip side Casemiro is one of the most decorated players of all time and has been undeniably world class for a long, long time. Isak is a striker with a 1 in 3 record. Both fees were too high.
  6. Even Weghorst was smashing them in when he was in Holland and Germany.
  7. Are you a talent scout or a coach? Again, I said he was a good signing. It doesn't mean that £60m wasn't expensive. I wasn't the only one thinking that as well. I couldn't care less if Antony starts banging in 20 a season. What we paid for him was ludicrous and I think what you paid for Isak was a huge fee as well. The whole thing started because we were criticised for spending £60m on Casemiro and I found it hypocritical when you were defending spending £60m on a 1 in 3 La Liga striker, but at the end of the day if it's what the team needs then who cares.
  8. I was quoted from 6 months ago man for saying he was expensive. he was. Antony was beyond expensive. A stupid fee.
  9. I like Martial and think he's a capable player, but we definitely overpaid at the time and I don't think he's anywhere close to world class, whereas you think Isak is a world beater and well worth £60m+ after a mere 900 minutes. That's the difference. No need to mock the per 90 stats. You brought them up. And in goal contributions per game your boy is worse than Martial. Worth noting that I said Isak was a good signing, and I think he's a good player. Doesn't change that £60m was expensive.
  10. What has Martial got to do with anything? But if you're going there Martial, who many on here think is shit, has 1 goal or assist every 90 minutes in the PL this season. Isak has 0.88... Discuss. EDIT: idiot.
  11. It's going to be 3-4 weeks minimum by the sounds of it.
  12. Relegation battle is going to be amazing in the final weeks.
  13. What's funny? Is 1/3 of a season and a few goals against bottom half sides the makings of a £60m player now? What's Lingard worth after that West Ham stint? Settle down fanboy.
  14. Because... he wasn't fit. He's averaged a goal contribution every 90 minutes this season. He's more than capable of leading the line.
  15. Seems to be a mixture of candyfloss and dust. Incredibly frustrating.
  16. Changed from us to Brighton?
  17. Only if Martial can't say fit.
  18. He has the highest win percentage of any manager in our history. Who's the better managers finding him out though? Curious about that one. We've pretty much beaten everyone we've faced this season. Howe got the better of him in the league, albeit with a number of star players missing, but lost a far more important cup final. Chill out Stiffy.
  19. He can finish as long as it's over 20 yards from goal. She's the worst commentator there is. Can't stand her. This could be 6-1. Everton are atrocious.
  20. Wasn't expected back until later April/early May. It's great to have him back. Can't believe McTominay and Sabitzer are in the middle again. Poor Fred.
