  1. Get away man, a league cup win would be the best day of our lives following NUFC for most of us. Too much over sentimentalism. You cannot be serious???? KK gave me, and many of you who remember it, the most glorious football I have ever seen. It has taken me years to get over the loss to Man U, but nothing, nothing, will ever be better than the football we saw. I'm happy we came 2nd playing the way we did, than 1st playing the way Man U did. Seriously. By winning more games and scoring more goals?
  2. Pardew led Newcastle to their best league finish in over 10 years.
  3. Obviously mooching behind Pochettinos back to make sure they could get Jose before turfing him out. Poch > Mourinho. You will be saying Ole > Mourinho next. Who knows. Ole is only at the beginning of his journey.
  4. He'll go back to AC Milan and will probably start.

  6. https://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/jahrestabelle/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2019 They are behind us in 2019 table and +30 league games could be considered a pretty long time in modern football. Well behind Ole who everyone loves to laugh at. Exactly Wasn't there a Champions League final, or have I gone completely mad? Yes his greatest achievement is best loser.

  8. Solskjaer has done much, much better than Poch with an inferior squad in the time he's been in the job. So, aye. Why?
  9. Playing Denmark and Switzerland home and away and only losing once is pretty special too. We're a team of barely professional footballers that wouldn't look out of place of a building site. Have done extremely well to have come so close. Give over. That is complete shite tbf Froggy Denmark are shit, Switzerland are a bit better though There's more talent in Eriksens left arse cheek than the entire Ireland side ffs.
  10. Probably the best I've seen us play in about 10 years.

  12. Even clubs at amateur level have these sort of fines. £5 for being late to training for some local clubs near me.
  13. Generally speaking aye, after 12 games you can have a pretty clear indication of who is going to finish where. Obviously they are some anomalies as Newcastle finished 5th under Pardew and Chelsea finished mid-table under Jose/Conte. We will absolutely compete with Arsenal and Tottenham this season. We just can't compete with Liverpool and City.
  14. That's all perfectly valid, but also under possibly the greatest manager of all time. I don't know that they need an elite coach. They had two, and it didn't work. They need to take stock - there's no catching Liverpool or City, and Chelsea are looking good despite the transfer ban. They've fallen too far to compete with Tottenham or Leicester or Arsenal, but there's no reason they can't get things right to give it a good go next season. Their problems are pretty obvious, and if they can get the wrong players out and the right ones in - never forgetting that even if they finish tenth, they'll still have the pull of Manchester United - there's no reason they can't challenge even with a non-elite coach. Their problem, it seems to me from my passing interest, is that they need Woodward to be on the same page as his manager, which hasn't happened... ever? He makes almost as many stupid missteps as Ashley, just of the cash-burning variety instead. Seems their only chance is if Woodward sticks with OGS and buys the players he wants, not the ones Woodward decides to buy. We're ahead of Spurs and a point behind Arsenal. And yes Woodward has been a bollocks, but the recruitment in the summer was excellent. That's why there's a lot of optimism. We signed 3 good, young, hungry players and shipped out two players who didn't want to be there.
  15. Failed ex-player? The expectation will be top four. Just not this season.
  16. If they’d given a long term plan to someone like Eddie Howe, I’d agree, but not OGS. I would have been very happy with Eddie Howe. Solskjaer deserves the time though. He is 3 months into his first full season in charge. It's about laying a foundation. Think giving solskjaer the time might end in 10 years of no champions league It's obviously within reason, but all things considered Solskjaer has done a good job in his time in charge. Comon now hardly done a good job - how far have your expectations fell! Man Utd should not be managed by ole end of Where do you think our expectations should be? We've had the world class, guaranteed success managers and it didn't work. There needs to be a change of policy and a change of plans.
  17. Me or Dinho? I’ve always been a dick like Not you. You're an angry man but you're not the worst. Just Dinho having a go at Yorkie there. Didn't like that.
  18. He was also a coach and reserve team manager for us. He wasn't just plucked from thin air because he used to play for the club. He got the job in the same way Pep got the Barcelona job, when Barcelona were at a far higher standing that what we are now. It's not like it's a new concept.

  21. What's the craic with you being a dick lately?
  22. Ole isn't getting sacked like. I don't how people can't see the situation. What would you have realistically expected that team to achieve, no matter who the manager was? The realistic expectation was 5th/6th with an outside chance of having a go at qualifying for the CL. The main issue was recruitment and signing the right players for the team. James, Wan-Bissaka and Maguire were and have been very good signings for the team. Two or three more good windows are required to get the team in shape to challenge but we're on the right track. We're sitting in 7th at the minute, 1 point off 5th with a couple of games coming up that we should be winning. The way people talk is like we're going to be relegated.
  23. It includes games that Manchester United have played.
