  1. Or your opinion on a player is skewed due to personal bias, like most fans at most clubs in regards to the players of their team. Also I'm not saying he's bad, he's still a very good player, I just would put him top tier anymore. That's what's silly to me. What has he done to fall out of the top tier? Scored 38 league goals in 31? Score 50 in a season? Which one was it that made you think he's not quite top tier anymore? It's just silly. i'm saying nothing but you'd have to wonder how well he'll cope with the pace of PL at his age, it's absolutely not a given he'll succeed considering he's played in fairly slow-paced leagues his entire career that said he's joining manyoo so he'll probably get a hatful of chances to score every game He has never been about pace anyway. He'll have three of Martial/Rooney/Mata/Mkhitaryan behind him so you would think he'll get the chances. I'd be happy with 10+, but reckon he'll do significantly more.
  2. Bojack and Fosu-Mensah are both really good already. Fosu-Mensah could turn into a beast. Pereira will be class. McNair is decent. Blackett is turd.

  4. "He's good, just not one of the best in the world." That's not a feeling. It's a bullshit opinion. Fuck you Lenny.
  5. He scored 30 goals last time he played under Jose. He struggled in the Euros because he plays for Sweden. Not every shit side can have a tournament like Wales. I don't care if he played in a weaker league or if he's aging. He scored like 150 goals for PSG and scored fucking 50 last year. You can't just guess that he's going to struggle because he played in France. He was fucking dynamite when he was there. Are you forgetting how good he was/is in the CL?
  6. Sign arguably the best player in the Bundesliga last year for £24m and one of the best strikers in the world for free and we're utterly shit in the transfer market. About to plug our biggest weakness with one of the worlds best too. We're overpaying but what's the point in sitting on all that money you've generated when players like Pogba are available? It's not like it's breaking the bank. well, yeah, that's kind of the fucking point i'm making really...you're now up there with chelsea & citeh as clubs that other clubs must just dream about coming in for one of their players 'cause they know they can bend you over the table Our money isn't oil money at least.

  9. It doesn't matter what Wikipedia or the club website said. Cabella said himself he's 6'10" so I'll believe him thanks.
  10. FWIW they didn't lose a game at home in the CL last season, and that was against Benfica, Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid. This is Celtic, who are muck compared to those teams.
  11. They're also quite rich.
  12. It has been done since last week. Disgusting money, but Pogba.
  13. Both top of their leagues.. Can't imagine the quality of the Irish league is much better/worse than the Belarus league either BATE have loads of money and regularly do well in the group stages of the Champions League Just trying to find reason I have no idea who would win, know nowt about either BATE almost qualified from a CL group that had Barca, Bayer Leverkusen and Roma last year.
  14. BATE are 1/2 at home? If I had £200,000...
  15. At this point in time, in the games I've seen him play, he produces significantly less than those you've listed above. He has the potential to be the best, sure, but I really don't think that he is at this moment in time. What do you mean by produces significantly less? I only ask because he scored and assisted significantly more than them all last season. I suppose I mean produce in 'big' games as that's what he really should be doing as the most expensive player in history (if it happens). When it's come to the crunch I've seen all of the others perform in big games, can't say the same for Pogba myself. Flat tracking it with Juve in Series A isn't the same imo, same kind of criticism that was levelled at Cristiano for a number of years as well. He was Juve's best player on their run to the CL final in 2015, including setting up the crucial goal against Madrid in the semis. He was 22. I understand that criticism was aimed at Ronaldo as well despite him being the highest scorer ever in the CL and scored at all stages of the knockouts. To summarise, it was nonsense. Fair enough man. When Pogba has realised his potential and is holding a major international trophy or the CL or something we'll revisit. For me atm he's never dominated or performed on the biggest stages. If he wanted to win the CL he would've stayed at Juve You're going to be gutted when we're back on top.
  16. I imagine Schneiderlin would be the one doing the dirty work. In a 4-2-3-1 as part of the 2? Looked rubbish in that role for France even with a DM next to him I don't think he'll be effective against most PL teams in that role. Aye. He was already looked good in that role for us. Mourinho loves Carrick too though so it could be him, but his lack of mobility scares me.

  20. My rating of him is that he's probably the best centre midfielder in the world. By saying probably, I'm saying it could be Kroos, Iniesta, Rakitic or Modric, but it's probably Pogba. Almost every football fan would have him in the top five centre midfielders in the world I'd imagine. Who else do you think is better at this stage? Vidal? Alonso?
  21. Who is then? Fergie didn't want Pogba to go. We offered him a new contract but by that stage he had already signed a deal with Juventus, without letting his club know. Had he waited another season he would have been a starter for us, but he took a gamble and it paid off. Fair play to him. A lot of the bitterness towards Man United is clouding peoples judgement on here though. Pogba is probably the best centre midfielder in the world now and anyone watching him for Juventus will know that. He's also 23. It's a shit load of money but it fills a glaring hole in our team and gives us a fantastic midfield for ten years plus. With the way money is going if he left in a couple of years he's still going to be in his prime and we'd recoup most of the money anyway. He's not the world's best CM, I've seen many a big game when he doesn't turn up. Many aye Neesy? Wise up. He was class in the Champions League when they got to the final and he's been class in the league for them. Wasn't fantastic in the Euros but was by no means poor. Remember, he's 23. It's a quality buy.
