  1. Owen and Beckham both wearing number 7
  2. Paddy Power have a special on for the Champions League final in that if Barcelona win in normal time they'll refund losing bets.
  3. If Owen is injured it could be one of the funniest things ever. It's Rooney/Giggs getting injured that I'm worried about.
  4. Neville's testimonial on now on SkySports 2. Beckham, Butt (), Scholes and Giggs in the midfield.
  5. A big chunk of his goals this season came in the league cup. His goal return in the league was poor. I know West Ham have been bad but surely they would have been looking at him as one of the players that would turn that around for them.
  6. The only player that would improve the Newcastle squad from West Ham's team would be Demba Ba IMO. Carlton Cole is complete horseshit. Another example of a player hyped up when he scored a few goals simply because he's English. Parker is a good player no doubt but he plays the same role as Tiote doesn't he? He's not as good as Tiote either, he's just English, i.e. over-hyped. He'll go to Spurs as well, and probably get overshadowed and exposed by Sandro, who looks to be a very good player. Back to Ba though, he'd probably only cost £5million or so. Looks a steal right now.
  7. Very big possibility of him ending up at Sunderland I reckon. I think we'll take Welbeck back but offer Owen. Beating them 5-1 then would be all kinds of brilliant.
  8. Is it on TV anywhere? It says Barcelona are on SS4 but it's tennis.
  9. I've just bought a Premier League toolbox. It has no Hammers in it.
  10. That's a cracking take and finish too.
  11. We got 80 and won the league in 2001. Arsenal were second and only had 70 too. Won it in 1999 with 79 too, the year we won the treble. Ah I figured there had probably been lower. Still if you gift Blackpool the points on the final day you can beat that record . Can't even see it being that weak a team against Blackpool. It's different resting players at the weekend for a midweek Champions League game, but the final is on the Saturday night. Giggs, van der Sar and Ferdinand will definitely be rested but I still think it'll be a strong team. You'll get to see Michael Owen though I'm sure. Got to look forward to that.

  13. I reckon Ferguson will "gift" them that, just as he gifted Hull points when we went down. We also beat Hull twice that season. Gibson scored the winner on the last day IIRC. He did. Cracking goal. 4-3 at Old Trafford too. Great game that. Hull were absolutely terrible. They got raped at home 5-0 by Wigan that season too

  15. Can't see how that's not a pen.. Robinson clearly clipped him and was miles away from having the ball. Should have held back, but didn't.. Clear penalty. The fact Hernandez wasn't getting the ball only means Robinson avoids further punishment. Still a foul though.
  16. Didn't look at the camera, no ban.
  17. The man is a fucking idiot. He wonders why he won't be first choice too. Moron.
  18. Some creep in my fantasy football league had Maxi as captain. Who does that? Jammy bastard.
  19. Carrick is a great passer when he gets the time to do it, that's the thing. This Barcelona team is second to none for pressing and hassling their opponents. Carrick gets flustered easily and has shown this season that he's prone to making glaring mistakes when he's put under pressure. I'm hoping he has the game of his life though, we need him to. Barcelona's full backs are very dangerous at going forward, so Evra and O'Shea/Rafael will need help from the wingers, which is why I think it will be Rooney on the left, as he'll run all day for the team but still has the craft to create at the other end. Nani won't really track back.
  20. They need a passer like Carrick in the team to play Barca. Giggs might be able to do it but doubt it tbh. If Sir Alex starts with Giggs in this game then he's making a damn big mistake. Giggs' vision is brilliant. He's set up some of our most important goals in the Champions League this season. He was outstanding against Chelsea and Schalke. I reckon he's a cert to start.
  21. Hernandez is a nailed on starter as well. He's constantly trying to beat the offside trap and will cause the Barca defence a lot of problems.
  22. Giggs ahead of fletcher? against Barca? 3-0 Barca i say. All depends on Fletchers fitness. If he's fully fit he'll start of course, but he's been out for two months with a virus and I don't think he'll start against Chelsea or Blackburn. Gives him one/two games to get match fit for Barcelona. EDIT: Should Fletcher be fit though I don't think it will be Giggs who makes way anyway.
