Leaving aside whether or not Gouffran is any good (I suspect he's not), its an excellent podcast with lots of interesting subjects brought up.

    Alan Pardew

I don't think that Newcastle fans are furious at what's happening. The minority, but majority on here, are resigned to the situation and have been for a long time now, and the majority that go to the matches every week, are living in some kind of heroin addled state of confusion where the piss taking smells of champagne.
  3. I believe that under the FFP rules clubs are allowed to lose up to 105M over the next three years, something that fat Mike is obviously not planning on doing.
  4. Once this bull shit is over can someone put up a summary of what each club has spent this summer so we can see in black and white how pathetic this is, and secondly a poll on where people think we will finish this season. Last year I went for 7th I think, I'm not going to be quite so optimistic this one.
  5. I think we are stuck with the moody cunt and he's stuck with us. He would be my third choice in centre midfield anyhow behind Anita and Sissoko.
  6. It's a worry and we've marked his agent's card that if he wants to do business then he should do it early. That quote from Pardew is just fucking disgusting.
  7. we haven't created many chances but its better than last week. Sissoko has been our best player.
  8. Well Gouffran is definitely not the answer, irrespective of whatever the question is.
  9. 7 French players now on the pitch for us and no English. There is something wrong with that, in fact a lot wrong with that.
  10. Huddlestone would have improved us considerably, and would have given us a basis in midfield to play some kind of possession football.
  11. I voted for the three who seem to be slightly less nauseous than the others. I would have voted for Cisse but we must have sold him to another club just before the window closes.
  12. me too and I watched the entire game against Morecambe.
  13. BBC Sport's Saj Chowdhury: "Demba Ba's agent Alex Gontran tells BBC Sport the 28-year-old Chelsea striker would like to stay at Stamford Bridge this season and fight for his place. Competition for places in the Blues attack is set to increase with the imminent arrival of Cameroon forward Samuel Eto'o from Anzhi Makhachkala. "Eto'o's arrival means that Chelsea's forward line-up will consist of Ba, Fernando Torres and Romelu Lukaku, while German Andre Schurrle can also play in that position. Gontran also dismissed Ba returning to former club Newcastle." Also Champion's League draw just about to start. It wasn't that long ago we were in it. Ashley what have you done to our club?
  14. If I was Anita and got dropped for Cabaye against Fulham on Saturday I would put in a transfer request and tell my agent to get me out of there before the window closes.
  15. Big fat Sam scouting someone, probably one of their players. Can't be one of ours they all look shit.
  16. Well if nothing else there are certain lessons learned in a game like this. Firstly so far they are better than us and look more likely to score, in fact if we were a couple of goals down we couldn't really complain. Elliot looks poor on crosses but does make good reflex saves. The entire defence is weak in the air especially Good who however does look composed with the ball. MYM is terrible on the ball his distribution shocking. Bigi looks lightweight but does take a mean free kick. Gosling is the only midfielder at the club who gets into the oppositions box and looks like he might score. Sammy is the best winger at the club and should start a lot more often. Gouffran doesn't like he has many goals in him to me. If he's the best CF at the club it doesn't say much for the others. Vuckic is anonymous as is Marveaux, nothing new there. Hope we don't get beaten.
  17. Half of the players we loan out don't even get to play, complete waste of time.
  18. HBA has a lot of similar skills to Messi but is less than 1% as effective. That's what is disappointing. He should be a much better player than he is. I don't think he takes this footballing lark very seriously and is wasting the talent he has and what's left of his career.
  19. I'm a francophile in that I used to shag lots of French women, but we really shouldn't buy any more French players. In a successful side playing nice attractive football maybe, but battling in the nether regions of the Premier League under Pardew, no thanks.
  20. HBA is overrated especially on here and constantly flatters to deceive. Marveaux as well. Both are completely wasted in any case under Pardew at NUFC, and should be actively trying to leave.
  21. Sorry if already posted; Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has insisted he will put the club before Yohan Cabaye. France international midfielder Cabaye, 27, was the subject of a rejected bid of about £10m from Arsenal and has yet to play for the Magpies this season. Pardew declined to confirm whether or not Cabaye refused to play in the first two games of the season against Manchester City and West Ham but said he will play no part in Wednesday's Capital One Cup second round tie at Morecambe. Pardew said: "The answer isn't as simple as a 'yes' or a 'no'. The answer is he is either going to be sold and we are going to have to replace him in the window that we have left, or he's going to stay. "But I, as the manager, have to protect him and protect the football club, more importantly. The first thing on my agenda is the football club, trust me, and that will always come first while I am the manager here."
