Played well held his shape out of possession and when he had it caused them bother with his intelligent runs.

I think we used it well today to see the game out. Take the sting out of situations with the lads feigning slight niggles which all the great teams do.

We have always through the years been lacking in certain positions in the squad. But centre mid and defence are the deficiencies nowadays we've always had tonnes of good centre mids over the years that would walk into this team now.

I mean rashford has had a handful of good games and he's straight back in. Ramsdale at southampton has been shit but is in the squad. Murphy has been poor the last four games or so but you'd expect he'd get a call up. Little angel Gomes tossed aside for the makem is strange aswell.
