Get what you trying to say but not sure Guehi is a good example to use. Building the biggest/best stadium in the UK would be the way I’d go personally.

I just find it strange any part of our forward line gets so universally criticised so heavily when we’ve just broken the clubs top flight record for goals scored in any of our lifetimes. I’m usually positive when it comes to our signings. Take for example the Sheffield United lad. All for it. Can only speak as I find and the few times I’ve watched him he’s never stood out and on occasions looked shaky. So with that in mind I’d rather buy cheaper/younger and develop for a year then start them back end of season. You've got to put injuries to one side as he’s not coming as back up so therefore I’m left thinking we “might” be paying £60-70m and be weaker then we were last two seasons when you compare pairings and our style of play. Appreciate it’s a squad game but this year of all seasons that amount of depth might be premature. This is why you can see the club tried to get Tosin deal done. The numbers will be radically different for players of not too dissimilar ability. The demands on the manger starting them also radically different. Anyway won’t comment further as still seems a lot to do before confirmed and even then the price might hopefully be nearer £35-45.

So you forget the game when his touch was heavy and he was robbed and the player was in on goal only to hesitate and him block the shot. Or the ball dropping which he let bounce and leading to another great chance. Then the one he went for and changed mind and got caught out leading to another chance. Recall him having a very good first game which was enough to set the narrative and the media brainwash. Actually thought Konsa played better when Guehi got suspended for the third game which although a minor thing shows he was caught out twice for cards also. Don’t want to sound overly harsh. If he signs I hope he proves me wrong like I said Gordon would prove the doubters wrong. It’s more about the fee and wage demands if it doesn’t work out. For £60-70m its our biggest gamble for sure.

I disagree. Thought Stones was our best defender in the tournament. I agree with your other points. Not a big fan and like you say not great in the air. Feels like a leak also. Ornstein normally announces the deal much further down the line. Even the wording hints of a sales pitch.
